THE DREAM
THE DREAM
" "You are the only surviving Luna of our pack and you are our only savior," an elderly woman spoke.
"What do you mean grand mother?" Lucy asked.
"When you were still five years old, our pack was attacked by some men. They began to kill our members. We tried to fight them but our strength did not match theirs. Your father, was a strong figure as of then, so the other wolves looked up to him. Because of his great role, he fought our attackers until his last breath," the woman explained.
"After your parent's death, we sought for advice from moon goddess. She told us that all that happened was for a reason and that was the only way in which our next alpha could be found. She told us that once you turn twenty, you will have to go to the earth and live among the humans, in order for you to avenge the death of the members of our pack. Yesterday you turned twenty and now is the time for you to leave. The only reason I kept this from you is because I never wanted your heart to be bitter, why you stayed here with us but now you are of age and you deserve to know everything," the aged woman explained further.
"You should have told me about all this earlier on. Now you expect me to leave, after hearing all of this. What if I do not want to go there? If those people had killed my parents, then who am I to defeat them? I replied"
"suzi, you are way stronger than you can imagine. The moon goddess blessed you with certain powers that you have not realized yet. Trust me, you are more than enough to defeat them. The only reason your father was not able to defeat them was because they came unannounced and that night was a night before the half moon. We could have defeated them if the full moon had been out that night."
"What powers? You know very much that I do not even know how to control my wolf, so how do you think that I can avenge the death of the members of our pack? I'm sorry grandmother but I do not think I can do this."
"You have to do. You do not have an option. The moon goddess will take you out of this place very soon, the only way you can be brought back to this pack is by fulfilling your destiny and your destiny is to avenge us and bring back the next alpha."
This dream came when I was five years old after an argument with my senior brother 'Sam' which resulted to my Dad scolding me
My father is a powerful, strong and influential figure in our pack. he was a Beta before he retired and his voice along was a threat to many, not to talk of when he scolds someone.
I cried my eyes out till I slept off and the mystery dream surfaced
I woke up shivering and scared as I was still a kid and never understood what the whole dream was all about.
'maybe Suzi (my wolf) was just playing tricks with my head as I slept, cause their was no trace of reality to the dream
My parents were both Alive, strong and healthy.
my brother Sam was always looking for my trouble as usual.
my grandmother on the other wasn't living with us.
so there was no trace of the dream coming to reality
As a beautiful damsel (partly human and partly a wolf), I attracted everyone I came across which made me bonded with Francis so easily right from my childhood
TEENAGER
I can tell you the exact moment my
life began to fall apart. The
moment where everything came
tumbling down and I no longer
knew what my place was in the
world. The familiar instantly
became foreign and I was left with
nowhere to go.
It all started when my boyfriend
had found his mate.
Francis and I had been dating since I was sixteen, almost a year of time
was spent having him by my side.
Francis happened to be the Alpha's
son, I had grown up with Francis and spent my childhood training at his side.
When I turned sixteen the feelings
of friendship quickly blossomed
into romance. Francis was seventeen, able to find his mate when he turned nineteen.
I was so gullible back then,
hanging on his every word. I was
so sure we would be mates, we
were destined after all.
I had this same delirious mindset
up until his nineteenth birthday
party, the day where everything
crashed and burned.
Francis picked me up from my house around 8 p.m. He pulled up to my house in his shiny SUV, I'd
often joke that he loved his car
more than me. There were a lot of
things Francis loved more than me.
My mom, dad and older brother
weren't fond of me dating their
soon-to-be Alpha. They knew the
risks of getting involved with
another wolf, but like a child, I had
ignored them.
I hopped into Francis's car, not
thinking twice that he hadn't
opened the door for me.
"I thought I told you to wear the
red dress." Francis sighed, rolling his eyes. I frowned at him and looked down at the black dress I was wearing. I didn't see anything
wrong with it.
"I told you I didn't like that one." I
frowned, wondering what got him
in such a bad mood.
"Whatever, you know I'm just
looking out for you." Francis
shrugged, "You look like someone mourning when you wear black."
I rolled my eyes at his bad mood,
knowing he would cheer up once
he had a few drinks in him.
Francis never liked when I wore black, he would always say I looked
like a "chief mourner". I didn't see a problem with looking like "chief mourner", beside some of the clothes they wore were really cute.
I'm sure it didn't help that I had straight, raven colored hair. Francis had told me hundreds of times how much better I would look as a blonde, but I couldn't bring myself to dye my hair. I was the only one in the family who had gotten my grandma's raven hair.
I sat in silence as Francis drove,
listening to him openly complain
about the neighboring packs. Francis seemed to have a problem with just about everybody.
"The Alpha from the Dawn pack is
asking for my help. He picked a
fight with the Mystic pack and
needs my help to get out of it."
Francis rolled his eyes, running his
hand through his sandy blonde
hair.
I felt my eyes widen, "The Mystic
pack? Why the heck would he pick
a fight with them?"
The Mystic pack were one of the
baddest packs around. Legend
says they started out as a pack of
all rogues, and quickly expanded
once Alpha Moses came into
power. Now Alpha Moses's
grandson had taken over, and it
seemed the cruelty ran in the
family.
"Please Lucy," Francis scoffed. "It's
just a stupid pack, and their Alpha
is just a man."
"A man with a lot of territory." I
mumbled, knowing that the
Mystic pack held the most
territory in the world. They were the
biggest pack our kind had ever
seen.
"Not for long." Francis smirked. I
didn't like the feeling that bubbled
in my stomach at his words.
"What do you-" I started, but was
cut off.
"Enough of that. It's not important."
Francis dismissed me with a wave of his hand. We pulled into the
parking lot of the nightclub and
Francis turned to face me.
"This is important." Francis smirked,
pulling me in and pressing his lips
against my own
