Candace woke to a small taping sound on her door. She threw the blanket over her head in hopes the tapping would go away. Eventually, the tapping stopped. Candace tried to fall back asleep, but her mind, on its own accord, went over the night she warned Wyatt of the approaching pack. It had been two days since she last saw Wyatt. He wouldn't be pleased with her leaving the room, but what did he expect? After a few bangs to the glass window with whatever she could find, she broke it enough for her to climb out and down the trellis.
