“What! Really, you want me to be a contender.” Trinity all but shouted. We had all come and sat in the living room. Sam and I sat on the couch while the kids sat on the floor across the table.  “But why were you crying?” I felt like such a fool for letting them see me like that.  Sam spoke so I didn’t have to. “Sasha is concerned because she knows that you have the best chance at winning for our pack. She is afraid that if you are turned then you will want to leave, and she’s not quite ready to let you go. Neither of us are.” I was grateful for Sam.
