Saturday evening I was just finishing setting the table when Sam came through the door. I went to greet him. He hadn’t noticed me yet I took in all the emotions on his face. I was not expecting him to look like this coming home. His face was a mix of pain, anger, and fear. I went to him. When my hand touched his shoulder he jumped. When he first looked at me he just stood there. Suddenly he grabbed me and pulled me to his chest. For a moment I stood there just letting him hold me.
Finally I asked “Sammy what’s wrong?” He let out a sigh and loosened his hold on me.
“We should sit down,” he said motioning to the couch. Now I’m worried this must be very important.
“Sam what is going on?” My voice is stern now. He doesn't look at me for a while.
