Chapter 11: Laws.
Flanked by two grim-faced wolf council members, Stella strode through the grand entrance of Aten's mansion, her head held high.
“Did you find the human?" Lena's voice sliced through the foyer as she descended the grand staircase.
“No," the tall pack member to her right growled. “There was no human around Stella."
“There was only the faded scent of a male wolf covered in a masking scent." The older man c****d his head.
Stella clamped her lips shut, forcing back the triumphant smile. Holden had gotten away somehow. Perhaps he'd used that strong, distinctive cologne he always wore. Whatever he did, she wanted to cheer for him. He was safe.
Now, all she'd have to do was keep her mouth shut. She'd admit she wasn't sure if they were dating anymore, but Stella wouldn't let
