Alpha Chase and his Beautiful Witch

Emily The wind was hitting against the windows, it was so hard it felt as if the old frames might actually give in. The same window frames I had looked at my entire life, the same view outside of my window, with the same old trees.  Happy memories of my sister and I climbing those threes, picnicking in the shade, sharing our greatest secrets, our thoughts and desires.  Safe, that is how I always felt when sitting there, protected by the people I loved and who loved me back with all their heart.   Sitting alone in my room, the enormity of what has happened overwhelming me.  Who could describe the pain of having to leave a place that once once was so safe, so warm and inviting.  The only home that I ever knew.  Running away, not knowing what is ahead of us.    A light knock, shakes me from my thoughts, my door gently begins to open as my beautiful sister pokes her head around.  Her face reflected my emotions.  Tear stains on her cheeks, red, bloodshot eyes hiding her shimmering blue eyes.  Although we are twins, our features are the polar opposites of each other.  While she has our mothers clear, blue eyes that can pierce any soul, golden locks and skin that is milky white, I on the other hand have my fathers emerald green eyes, hair that is black as the night and golden, tanned skin.  Our features and shape are the same in every other way, even our personalities are similar.  We have a bond that connects us on a level that other people can’t understand.  We are able to know what the other is thinking without a word, send each other messages that no one else can hear.  It is part of our special gifts, one that we have had to hide for so long.   I understand why she has come to the room, we don’t need to say anything to each other.  I hold out my arms and immediately she snuggles into my embrace.  We stay connected for ages, relaxing in the comfort of our sibling bond. I don’t know how long we were like that, silently crying and mourning the loss of our home, our safety net.  “I know,” I say gently, “but dad warned us that this was going to happen,  we need to prepare ourselves for what is going to come next.” I quietly replied.  She nods her head and we slowly begin to get up and walk towards the basement.
