Chapter Thirty Five
Reis I slowly feel myself beginning to wake up. My body is aching all over and my head feels like it has been bashed repeatedly with a rock. My eyes flutter open and I look around the room, Leo is still sleeping on the bed next to mine. His breathing is calm, I really don’t want to wake him, but I know that we both need to get moving as time is not on our side. Flashbacks of the last few days enter my mind, the Masters injecting silver into our systems to weaken us, using their commands to keep us in our places, both excruciatingly painful. I really believed that we were as good as dead, I hoped but did not believe that Luke could really pull off this kind of rescue.
