CHAPTER XIII

AMARA

The next thing I knew is that I now woke up on my bed. My window was open so the sun lit up the room and causing me to flinch and wake up, it was already morning. I sat up on my bed almost quickly when I remembered the events that happened last night or who knows how long it was. I grunted and planted my face on one of the pillows, took a deep breath but instead of smelling fabric softener, it was Kyle’s scent. Was he here? Did he sleep with me last night? It smelled so good that I wanted to stay in for another few minutes and marvel at the delicious scent our mate left behind.

“Our mate was here Ame, he was with us last night.” Taryn purred.

“So, everything that happened, it was all last night?” I asked.

“Yes love, you passed out at the party.”

“Well, s**t,” I told her.

I needed to see my parents and my brother and explain to them what happened last night, I bet after all of that commotion about Kyle and Brian they wanted answers, most especially my brother since I know that he’s going to strangle whoever did the rejection on me, and that would be Brian. I quickly went in for a hot shower and got myself ready. I just wore shorts and a pink baggy shirt, I went out of my room and went into the kitchen.

As much as I wanted to find where my brother and my parents were, my stomach was telling me to have breakfast first. I saw Mrs. Rose preparing bacon and pancakes, as soon as I went in and she gave me her sweetest smile.

“Oh my! Ame, good morning! How are you feeling now dear?” she asked me as she prepared a plate for me.

“Good morning Mrs. Rose, I’m feeling just fine. I just wanted to ask, what exactly happened last night? Who brought me to my room?” I questioned her as she went to me and served me the pancakes and bacon.

“Well, last night I just finished tidying up the kitchen after the other pack members just finished eating dinner and went home when suddenly your brother, mother, father and a handsome man came inside the house and hurriedly asked me for help because you fainted.” She said as I quickly take a look at her when she said ‘handsome man.'

“Wait, you mean there was somebody with them that time?” I asked.

“Yes, he was the one who actually carried you to your room dear. Is he by chance your mate?” I looked at her as she asked me, judging from the scent that Taryn and I just inhaled in my room, it was Kyle.

“Actually, yes Mrs. Rose. I just met him last night.” I told her, and her face lit up with another big smile.

“Oh my, oh my what wonderful news that is Ame. I’m so happy for you.” She said as she wiped her hands and tapped on my shoulder.

“Thank you, Mrs.Rose.” I really appreciate her, she was really a good person and a good Omega, she was like my second mother already.

“Oh, by the way, have you seen everyone here? Mom? Dad? Nikko?”

“Ah, I’m sorry dear it seems that I don’t know where are they. I just got up and started preparing breakfast and then you came here.” She answered.

“I see, it’s okay.” I nodded at her and continued eating my breakfast, apart from my mother, Mrs. Rose really makes mean pancakes and she also knows that I really like to pair it with crispy bacon. Both of them are Goddesses in the kitchen. As soon as I was done having my breakfast, I left the kitchen and went to find the family.

I had to try and find them and at least clear things out them about everything. I needed to tell them all of it. I was outside the packhouse busy thinking about how I am going to explain everything to my parents and brother about the situation when I bumped into Blaze, our best warrior, and trainer.

“Ame, I’m sorry I didn’t see you there, you okay?” he asked.

“I’m alright Blaze, don’t worry about it, it’s nothing.”

“How are you holding up? Do you feel better now? I saw you last night with your family and a man carrying you over here.”

“Feeling better now Blaze, and sorry about last night. I just felt a little light-headed.” I say.

“Well, that’s good to hear Ame. I better get going training starts in a few.” He told me as he slowly walked away.

“Blaze wait…” I stopped him.

“Yes?”

“Do you happen to find where my mother, father, and brother are?” I asked him hoping to help me find them.

“Actually, yes. I have, I think they were in the meeting room with a few Alpha’s, Luna’s, and Beta’s there.” He answered. Oh f**k, there were others? Wonderful, just great.

“Right, thanks, Blaze!” I tell him as I went back inside the packhouse and slowly made my way to the meeting room figuring out what to say, as what Blaze just told me there were others in the meeting room and I could expect who could be there and I was in for a long ass interrogation.

When I got there, I could hear a few people talking about something. I knocked on the door and bobbed my head inside, I could see their face turn to the door when they heard it open. I saw my father at the head of the table with my mother beside him, My brother Nikolai and Beta Andre, Brian and his Beta, another Alpha and Luna with the same age as my mother and father, and then Kyle. Inhaling his scent again made me and Taryn sighed with pure happiness.

“Angel!” Kyle stood up from his chair as soon as he saw me.

“Amara..” Brian also stood up almost the same as Kyle.

“You aren’t her mate, so sit down,” Kyle uttered.

“She was mine first. She doesn’t belong to you.” Brian talked back.

Kyle growled at Brian which in turn made Brian growl at him as well, both of their Beta’s were holding them back at each other when my father shouted.

“That’s enough! Alpha Brian, Alpha Kyle, please contain yourselves and sit back on your seats.” My father commanded them that even though they were both Alpha’s and could do whatever they wanted regardless, they followed my father.

“Ame dear, you’re up. How are you feeling now?” My mother went to me and cupped my face in front of everyone.

“I’m fine mother, don’t worry about me,” I said as I went with her and sat at the table across Brian and Kyle, both of them never left their gazes at me.

“Now that everything has settled down, before anything else, Ame, I assume that you already know Alpha Brian and Alpha Kyle, please meet their Beta’s Kean and Thomas,” he said as he pointed at them.

“This is Alpha James and Luna Christine, Kyle’s mother and father.” My father pointed to them and I bowed down my head.

“Good morning, nice to meet you,” I say to them.

“Good morning dearest, it’s a pleasure to meet you. Are you okay?” Luna Christine asked me.

“I’m okay, thank you so much.” I bowed and she did the same.

There was a short silence in the room when my brother suddenly spoke.

“So, I’m going to address the elephant in the room.” He said as looked at me “Ame, you told me someone rejected you but you didn’t say a name to me, who was it?”

NIKOLAI

“So, I’m going to address the elephant in the room.” I looked at my sister who was slumping in her seat “Ame, you told me someone rejected you before but you didn’t say a name to me, who was it?”

What happened last night was unexpected, I couldn’t believe that my sister had two Alphas chasing over her claiming that they were both her mates. My father had to call Alpha Kyle, along with his parents, and Alpha Brian to try and settle down and find answers about the mess that happened last night. They came here just earlier.

Damn, how I wish I was lucky as her. What got me confused was that how on Goddess’s name she got two mates? I remembered that she told me someone rejected her so I took the chance to ask her that as well and it had to be in front of everyone. Sorry, dear sister, but I have to let them know and clear out this confusion.

“Rejected?!” Almost everyone in the room reacted to what I said.

“Now wait everyone.” My father was now angry knowing about it; Alpha Kyle and James were doing the same. Both my mother and Luna Christine were also in shock, even the Beta’s were surprised. All except for Alpha Brian and Beta Thomas, Brian was about to say something when my sister stood up.

“Listen..” Amara finally said and made everyone in the room quiet “Father, Mother, everyone..” She looked down at her feet and took a deep breath “Yes, I got rejected. Yes, my mate now is Alpha Kyle.”

“Now? What do you mean now Angel?” Kyle reacted.

“Before you, there was someone else…” she said as she turned her gaze towards Brian who was looking at her but bowed his head. “I was mated to Alpha Brian before you but he rejected me and I accepted it.”

“What?!” The whole room was surprised and eyes immediately went to Brian after my sister confirmed it. I, my father, Kyle, and even Alpha James were so upset hearing about it.

“Heaven’s dearest when and how did it happen? And why are you telling us this right now?” My mother asked cupping her cheeks looking at my sister.

“This certainly wasn’t the kind of news I was expecting to hear this early.” Alpha James reacted with Luna Christine touching his shoulders.

“Everyone please…” my sister butted in and everyone looked at her.

“In all honesty, I never wanted to tell everyone about it like this. I was going to tell you privately but I didn’t expect it to turn out like this. Again, Brian was my first mate before Kyle, but he rejected me and I accepted it. This happened a couple of days just before Kyle’s birthday party here at the training grounds.”

“Why are you telling us this now dearest? And why did your brother know about the rejection?” My mother said confused and with worry.

“Mother that’s because she didn’t want you and Dad to worry. She knew if she told you about it right away you would’ve overreacted about it.” I looked at my sister and gave her a nod and she mouthed me a ‘thank you'. “And besides. I am just as surprised as you knowing that Alpha Brian was the one who rejected her since she didn’t tell me a name at that time.” I explained.

Everyone in the room tried to figure out the problem piece by piece as answers were now on the table.

“So, Ame” My father rubbed his temple and looked at my sister. “After all that we’ve gathered about this situation, you and Alpha Brian were mated first, but he rejected and you accepted it. Then, you and Alpha Kyle met at the party and were mated, that would make Alpha Kyle your second chance mate.” Everyone in the room now nodded and agreed with my father’s statement.

“A second chance mate, that’s a rare situation.” Luna Christine said.

“It really is,  Lady Ame just got blessed by the Moon Goddess two times.” My Beta Andre added.

“Brian, you stupid f**k I swear…” Kyle growled with onyx eyes wanting to claw his face while his Beta was trying to hold him off. 

“That’s enough son!” Alpha James reprimanded Kyle making him submit.

“Alpha pray tell why in Goddess’s name compelled you to reject my sister?” I now looked at Brian who was still looking down at his seat while hearing Alpha Kyle growl in anger and balling his hands into tight fists. I swear this guy has some serious explaining to do because not only is he going to have a beating from me but I’m going to take turns smashing his face with Alpha Kyle on this one.
