Finally Found You

CHAPTER XX

NIKOLAI

After my father signaled, Brian didn’t hesitate to instantly attack Kyle, he didn’t even try to study his opponents’ movements which was a huge mistake even a well-trained warrior would know that making the first move is already a disadvantage. Goddess, this man doesn’t really think, does he?

Brian threw punch after punch to Kyle, but Kyle smoothly dodged most of his punches effortlessly and the ones that landed on him made him realize and study how much power Brian was giving to his punches. Brian was strong, just like everyone present here at the training grounds, if only he used his head to start thinking about a good strategy to fight instead of lashing out offenses to Kyle.

Kyle now advanced and returned Brian with a series of strong right and left uppercuts to his torso and rib cage which made Brian step back and recognize that his punches were as equally strong as him but were more planned. I could see the anger in Brian’s eyes knowing that Kyle almost beat him with that simple move, he growled loudly at Kyle and began to attack, and once more, he just went straight for the offensive attacks.

Brian almost looked like a wild animal that just wanted to claw Kyle to his death but his moves were too predictable and Kyle, now having studied his movement’s almost flawlessly dodge his attacks, Brian managed to punch Kyle in the face so strong that it made the Alpha wince and step back. Kyle now had a cut at his cheekbone and was dripping blood, he c****d his head at Brian, shook the pain away, and maintained his stance.

Brian drew the first blood, a smile of pride and satisfaction crept on his face as he saw that Kyle was now bleeding from his punch. That was still minimal compared to the amount that these two would spill as this fight continues.

Kyle now took the first move by running toward Brian and leaped into the air and swung his right leg to Brian but he managed to dodge it very quickly and gave Kyle a huge blow to his stomach. Kyle now getting pissed, growled and pulled Brian by the neck and used his strength to throw him down to the ground like a rag doll, the impact was so great that it shook the ground and some trees nearby.

It took Brian a minute to stand from that, if his strength was just like from an ordinary wolf, it would have been critical for him but since he’s an Alpha, his strength was amped up so he barely survived the blow.

“He’s going to be sore from that….” I say to myself making a comment about the fight.

For a whole 20 minutes, the fight continued and both of the men refused to concede and still let themselves fight until the end. They continued exchanging multiple punches to one another and just as I expected, their bodies were now bloodied, scraped, bruised, with swollen faces and black eyes. They were now standing opposite to each other after Kyle punched Brian in the left rib cage, they were both breathing heavily as they looked at each other angrily.

“GIVE IT UP HARRIS!” Brian yelled at Kyle after he spat blood from his mouth.

Kyle continued to breathe heavily and took another deep breath before he looked at Brian with seriousness and spoke.

“Never..” Kyle said.

Upon hearing this, Brian gritted his teeth, clenched his jaws tightly, and started to growl at Kyle, although this growl wasn’t as powerful as before and his stance was getting a little tired and weaker.

“SHE WILL ALWAYS BE MINE!” Brian roared as he started to charge at Kyle with full force. The move became too predictable for Kyle, and he once more dodged it, grabbed Brian to face him, and gave him a brutal right hook.

A loud and painful crunch was heard and Brian’s nose started to pool with streams of blood. Kyle used his last ounces of energy and relentlessly continued to give Brian a combination of jabs and kicks, he looked like a boxing bag just taking blow after blow Kyle gave him

“AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!” Kyle yelled as he now grabbed Brian by the neck and again slammed him to the ground with more force than before. We could now feel the entire training grounds shake, it even radiated outwards. Amara would feel that for sure.

“ALPHA!” I heard Brian’s beta yell from a distance.

“SILENCE!” Alpha Liam yelled.

Kyle walked just inches away from Brian, he was lying there so still looking lifeless.

“Concede…”  Kyle told Brian.

Brian didn’t say a word and the whole place fell silent as we watched him fading in and out of himself. Then, Brian suddenly grunted, raised his left hand, and punched the ground weakly as he soon closed his eyes and slips out of consciousness. He conceded.

As soon as Brian laid his hand down, everybody in the training grounds hurriedly rushed to go near his unconscious body.

Thomas, Brian’s beta, kneeled and checked for his vital signs and sighed in relief.

“He’s still alive, thank the Goddess.” He said as he started to lift his Alpha off the ground looked and went, to Kyle who was being held up by his Delta.

“Alpha…” He said as he bowed while carrying Brian “Thank you for sparing my Alpha’s life.” Kyle returned the gesture and bowed his head to Thomas.

“Beta, please take your Alpha to the pack’s hospital to get him checked before you go back to your pack.” Alpha Liam said and called his warrior “Blaze, please guide the beta to the hospital.”

“Certainly. Beta?” He looked at Thomas and went on their way.

 “Alpha Kyle, Congratulations. You surely impressed everybody at the fight, you have my respect.” I went over to Kyle and congratulate him. He was a good person, he truly deserves my sister.

My father walked up behind me and patted my back and also gave Kyle his salutations.

“Alpha, I was impressed by what you did in the fight this morning and I give nothing but respect and my full blessing to you and my daughter. Please take good care of her.” My father shook his hand with the Alpha and I quickly made my way back to my sister. I’m sure she’s worried about what just happened this morning.

AMARA

I have been pacing back and forth in my room for as long as I can remember. I could not calm down, not one bit. Em was in my room not long after Kyle left me for the fight, she was trying to calm me down but I couldn’t, I tried to sit down on my bed and tried to rest when we suddenly felt the room shake lightly. Oh, goddess. I closed my eyes and prayed to the Moon Goddess that everything will be alright, especially to Kyle.

“Ame, it’s going to be fine….” Em told me as she slowly caressed my back and hugged me from behind.

We stayed like that for a couple of minutes and moments later we heard a knock on the door. Em stood up from the bed to open the door and there stood my brother.

“Dearest….” My brother said and spared no time in kissing her right in front of me. “I’ve missed you…” I have to admit. Seeing my brother being so loving and soft to my best friend makes me feel a little bit jealous.

“ehemm…” I cleared my throat to let them know that I was in the room with them, they stopped what they were doing as my brother touched Em’s lower lip and took a deep breath as he went over to me.

“Ame…” before he could finish, I cut him off.

“What happened Nikko? Are they both safe?” I held my brother’s hand as I looked at him straight in the eyes as I asked him.

He squeezed my hands in return and tucked my loose hair over my shoulder, “They are both fine. Brian conceded in the fight, but he didn’t give up. Not until he got badly beaten up by Kyle and lost consciousness. I came over here to tell you that Brian is now currently at the pack’s hospital being taken care of until he gets back up and Kyle is taking a breather with his Beta and Delta, he’s also being checked out by a doctor.”

After hearing what my brother just said a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders and I could finally breathe easily. Brian was alive, Kyle is alright. Goddess truly answered my wishes, I just hope that my wish and prayers for Brian to have a good life would come true as well.

“Where did you say Kyle was?” I asked my brother.

“Where? Before I left, he was still at the training grounds getting looked after by the doctor I guess he’s still there or he’s either at the pack hospital…” I cut him off once more as I hurriedly stood up from the bed slipped on a pair of flats grabbed Kyle’s jacket from the bed and started to head out from the room.

“Excuse me…you..uh… you can use my room if you want…” I said as I looked at my brother and Em leaving them alone baffled.

I had to go to him, even though he told me he was going to come back to me, it was agony waiting for him. The moment I knew that Brian conceded and Kyle won the fight I wanted to see him again, I could finally have my mate back now without anyone getting in the way. I ran as fast as I could to reach downstairs as I heard Taryn howl in excitement and spoke.

“Our mate didn’t give up on us, we belong to him and only him now Ame. Mother blessed him and us.” Taryn said as I felt her yipping in the excitement in my head. I smiled as I felt my wolf become so happy, it radiated all over my body which gave me so much energy to run into Kyle’s arms as soon as possible.

I stopped midway in my tracks and wore Kyle’s hoodie before going out to the veranda and made my way to the training grounds. I was a bit disappointed to find out that there were no more people staying there. I went over to the center where I found a hole in the ground with a body imprinted on it.

“Oh, goddess…could this be why we felt a shake earlier?” I said out loud as I heard Taryn whimper in my head.

“Ame, go to the showers, our mate is there.” She said as I continued to stare at the destruction and headed to the shower room where the warriors would go after training.

Sure, enough he was there, his scent was diffused all over the place and I just loved inhaling every ounce of it and compelled me to enter the men’s shower so willingly just to search for my mate. It was empty and it was so quiet but I swear Kyle’s scent was in here and it was strong, it made my wolf howl in delight. I was walking further inside the place, it was still so silent yet the scent was getting stronger and stronger but Kyle was nowhere to be found I closed my eyes, stopped, and let out a sharp sigh when suddenly my arm was grabbed by a huge hand and pulled me into a wet kiss.
