“Don't keep crying kid, please.”
Billie kept crying.
“I am not going to kill you. That is not my style. Instead, I am going to teach you how to be like me. People call me crazy, but I am not crazy. You know what? I am going to teach you a lesson.”
“I know that you are only six years old, but I was younger when I discovered what true freedom was.”
“Do you understand what I am saying?”
Billie moved his head, saying no, while rubbing his hands in his eyes.
“I know you are smarter than that; you were on the phone when I entered your room. So, I want you to be honest with me, and I will be transparent with you.”
“Let’s try this again, do you understand me?”
“Yes.”
“Alright, kiddo.”
“Let’s start your first lesson. I am going to talk to you about that word that many people use, and you are probably thinking about it right now.”
“CRAZY.” He said, smiling and moving his head up and down, looking Billie in the eyes.
“Crazy is what "normal" people call a person like me but is not like that. Craziness is relative. I am going to give you an example: People pray to God, which technically is talking alone. But religious people think they are talking to someone that is invisible. If you were caught on the street talking to yourself, they would have called you crazy because you were talking alone. Essentially you were doing the same but in their eyes is different.”
“They called me crazy; I call myself enlightened. Do you see the difference?”
“I don't understand,” Billie replied
“Don't worry, kid, you will.”
“Society created all these stereotypes and rules because they fear what we humans can do. They fear what is unknown and what is different. You can be a different kid don't let society put you in leeches. Let me teach you how to be truly free. They will teach you their rules, but they will bend them to whatever they see fit.”
“Tell me, what do you like?”
“I like playing with my ball and running.”
“Okay, those are nice things; you know what I like?”
Nods saying no
“I will tell you, but don't get scared, alright? It might sound strange but it is completely normal it’s just that society puts everything that is different as wrong. Don't get scared I will not hurt you.”
“I like Blood; I like drinking it, showering in it just makes me happy. But is not like I can get it in the store or change the water tubes in my house to transport blood instead of water.”
Billie started making sounds like he was about to start crying again.
“Hey, hey, don't cry; you are going to make me feel bad. I did not laugh or cry when you told me what you liked,” he said, pretending to be sad
Billie cleaned his eyes.
“I know it's different, but we need to learn to respect other people’s opinions, likes, dislikes, and overall, the way they think.”
At this moment, Billie looked intrigued; he was feeling weird; this person had taken him from his house, but he was not scared. That person wasn't hurting him, so he was confused. That person was saying things that he could barely understand. Apart from "I am not going to kill you," he wasn't understanding much.
