Pretty but Bitchy!
Moaning. Loud moaning, slapping skin against skin, the sound of male grunts. Wait… Moaning?! Here? What audacious duo could have, of all places in the whole world, chosen this place of all places to have s*x? Curiously, she walks over to the temporarily covered arch and pulls apart the curtain. The sight that meets her eyes is not the kind her mouth can possibly speak about. Both heads snap her way in seeming surprise and the woman… the same woman who will be getting married right under the same arch tomorrow is f*****g someone that is not her to be husband, even worse because they are known to be enemies. She takes a few steps backwards while the duo disentangle. “Daniela, is that you?” She asks breathily, her breathing slowing down as she makes a show of adjusting her under-dress and then the dress she has on. “Y… Yes Miss Isla?” “What did you see?” “N… Nothing ma’am.” Isla Hall-Vale raises her eyes and looks at her, a small smirk coating her thick red lips. “Oh no, you certainly saw something.” She walks over and comes to stand in front of Daniela, her vanilla scent assaulting her nose while the man she was with stands there, hands in the pocket and looking at both women. “Daniela, you saw something and I want you to not be ashamed to tell someone, okay?” She leans in, whispering, “You could even get paid, the daughter of the president of this country, having an affair the day before her wedding? Scandalous. I will see you tomorrow… Maybe.” Isla chuckles mirthfully. With one last pat on the back, she walks past Daniela, leaving the wedding hall with the man behind her. And at that exact moment, some really good money making schemes come to mind. Daniela had never really liked her anyway and now she has given her the express permission to let the world know that she is promiscuous… Daniela would not pass this opportunity by with a long shot. Still at the same location a few minutes, she raises my phone to my ear. “Hello Bri. Do you still have the number of that jerk reporter you went out with some months before?” And in less than two hours, Daniela is positioned right in front of a camera with the highest grossing broadcast station in the whole country, giving her testimony of what she had seen, going down into the details, seen and unseen but she’s pretty sure had happened. Daniela’s own five minutes of fame. The eyes of the videographers and mouths are left wide open by the time she is done, and by that night, it is hot news. Really hot news. * The next morning arrives with a buzz in the air, the kind of smells of hidden tension because everyone knows something, except someone, someone who ought to have known by now but he remains oddly oblivious to the fact that the woman he would be getting married to has been involved in a scandal large enough to wipe the smirk off his face. He looks at himself in the mirror, his friends sitting behind and watching him, all of them already dressed but awkwardly glancing at themselves. “Uhm… Pierce, have you checked the news these past few hours? Or even your messages?” He glances at them through the mirror while adjusting his bow. “No. New is buzzing about our wedding, well, why won’t they? I am getting married to the most beautiful woman in this country.” He chuckles, smiling with a love-struck twinge in his eyes. His friends exchange some glances before all standing up to come stand by him. “Well, we are your friends, it is our job to let you know what is going on. Isla cheated on you.” Pierce freezes in the mirror, his hands on the lapel. He slowly turns around, looking at the men. “What did you just say?” “Isla cheated on you, it’s in the news. Danielle, the wedding’s interior planner caught them yesterday, it’s gone wild on the internet and people have been waiting to hear the outcome of the issue. We figured you did not know.” Pierce’s hands drop to his side. “And Pierce, that is not even the worst part.” “What could be worse than my fiancée cheating on me the day before our wedding?” “The man she was caught cheating with is Elijah Richmond… Your cousin.” The silence is so damn deafening. With no further words, Pierce yanks the red bow tie off his neck and flings it to the ground before stalking out of the room. “No one should follow me.” He orders in a stern voice before leaving the room, his friends staring at his retreating back fearing what he is going to do. Walking down the hall to where the ladies are getting dressed is a piece of cake. Everyone knows why he is going there so they all just part for him to pass like the biblical red sea, only these are humans. He comes to a stop outside the door that says “Bride.” He pulls down the doorknob and goes inside to see a lady doing the bride’s makeup. Isla opens her eyes and looking in the mirror, sees that it is her fiancée that is standing by the door, red faced and pissed. “Please excuse us.” She says calmly before turning the swivel chair around, crossing her legs while the door shuts behind Pierce. “I have been expecting you, did you just hear about it from your friends? Or you saw it elsewhere?” With clenched fists, Pierce stalks into the room, coming to stand right in front of her. “What the f**k were you doing sleeping with my cousin? My enemy? Beneath our own wedding arch at that? What the f**k were you thinking?” His voice starting low toned comes to end in a yell. “Don’t yell at me you bastard. Do you think you deserve me? You don’t have as much as he does, he is better in bed, kisses better and knows what he wants even if what he really wants the most is about to be hitched to another man. So, don’t you dare yell at me.” Pierce swallows his comeback and stands straight, exhaling audibly. “Fine then, what you want is that this marriage should be canceled right?” He chuckles dryly, “You will not get it. I will marry you and I will have my revenge on the two of you, you dumb fucks.” Saying his final piece, he turns to leave, his lips twisted tightly in hurt and anger. Isla chuckles and then bursts into fully blown laughter. “Whatever gave you the idea that the decision was yours to make, you better scrap it right now. Do you know why I am getting made-up? Absolutely not for this sham wedding. I am going to look so good in front of the reporters at the press conference when I tell them the truth.” Pierce frowns. “What press conference?” “I won’t miss you, you know. You are dumb and stupid and terribly, terribly dishonest, I feel relieved to be getting away from you. Anyway, at the press conference I will be announcing that we are done with one another, obviously. Don’t worry, I’ll do it, tell them the truth and be gone. You can get your money spent on this fake thing from my Dad. I am pretty sure he’ll give it to you without asking anything, except I tell him why.” She turns back to the mirror. “Please tell my makeup artist to come back in to finish her job.” Pierce stands there, back turned to her, fake tears pooling in his eyes. Isla Hall-Vale, you cold-hearted b***h… Pretty but bitchy.
