BOUNDED BY HIS HEART

CHAPTER 4 : [ ATHENA'S POV ]

I walked in the kitchen and took a bowl out and filled it with muesli and cold milk. I sat on the staircase leading to the private study area , just as I was about to dig into my delicious bowl of muesli- Mrs. Linda had to appear , she's the chaperone in case you wondering. " Girls how  nice of all of you to be sitting here today, Denise do you perhaps want to start giving ideas! "

Denise then starts speaking ; she is speaker of the girls - always opting about unity amongst us West Campus girls . " So you saying you want us to have  a choir for these new comers so we can sing to them as in to welcome them "  Mrs. Linda then speaks " that's quite a good suggestion! "  Samantha then speaks " Mrs. Linda that idea is off the table , a few years ago we did the same thing and it never worked!" Mrs. Linda nods her head and starts speaking " I guess you right Samantha , we need another idea"

I am just their eating my muesli when I randomly get an idea " Mrs. Linda! " she looks at me " how about we have a party " everyone then looks at me . Samantha then speaks " Mrs. Linda Athena is right - that's a very good idea! " Samantha looked really excited and now I wonder why. Mrs. Linda smiles at me and speaks " well alright then I'll get started , looks like the entire campus is having a party tonight - well done Athena ! "  Mrs. Linda then walks off . I was pretty happy that Mrs. Linda complimented me but that moment never lasted long mainly because Samantha had to start speaking " looks like after all you are good for something" I roll my eyes at her I wish I could just wipe that smirk of Samantha's face.

It was in the afternoon and I was currently sitting in the library drawing some roses . It was actually quite quiet ; usually students would be coming in to get study material or class material. I only attend classes from Monday to Wednesday ; I major in art and technology the rest of the students do more complex things like law and business. Tomorrow is Saturday meaning I get to see my brother we might be 2 years apart but we pretty close when it comes to spending family time with each other .  His a good kid has good grades and avoids trouble or so I think, I was so busy drawing I never noticed Mrs. Linda standing there . I look up and our eyes lock " that's some fine talent you have there "  she takes a seat opposite the table , inspecting my every move I make on the rose . " Can I assist you with something Mrs. Linda ? " she continues looking at my rose " well I wanted to thank you for that bright idea of yours and to remind you that the party starts in less than 2 hours'' she then looks in my eyes " I want all the girls to look beautiful tonight including yourself Athena - I believe every one of you girls have the potential to do something with your lives " I nod in understanding but her eyes still never left mine.

" Athena you a very rare student , your IQ is pretty high and you have an enormous amount of talent - don't waste that talent of yours it will take you to many places , your future is bright ! "   she stands up, looks at me one last time before leaving.
