Chapter Twenty Nancy I had been letting Nancy talk uninterrupted for several hours by this time, except for bathroom breaks and tea refills. I had been waiting for her to reach a natural breaking point in her narration so that I could suggest stopping for lunch when her last statement caused me to look up from my notes. “I’m sorry.
