I look at grandma and the baby in her arms. When she smiled at me, I took the baby and held him like I was taught how to do
“Grandma, how will he help?. He is so small. He can’t even move himself”
“He will soon” Grandma smiled at me “But he will help without even speaking”
“Really?” I asked, not sure she was right “How?”
“It’s a surprise. But he can only do it with your help Kai. I need you to keep this image in your head ok?” Grandma said
“Ok” I nod “Then what?”
“Then, when your uncle Jason most needs your help to make the right choice, you show him this image. The rest will be up to him” Grandma explained
“Ok but I don’t think it will work” I said
“Why not?” Grandma asked
“Because uncle Jason isn’t ready to listen to anyone yet. I mean, we are all in the car going to speak to him and he won’t even speak to me. Only Tolken speaks to me” I explained
“That’s ok. He’s still hurting. But the hurt will soon start to ease. It’s time” Grandma said with a big smile
“Does this mean I get to meet her now?” I asked her, excited
“Not yet. But soon darling. You are too young to meet her. I need you to do a few more things before you do” Grandma laughed
“Awwww” I felt sad
Grandma brushed my hair before taking the baby back. Kissing my forehead, she smiled
“Now love, it’s time to go back and wake up. You’re parents will be stopping soon” She said to me
“Okye dokye” I said, waving to grandma.
I closed my eyes and felt the sun go away from my face.
“Kai, sweetheart”
I opened my eyes and yawned. I saw mummy’s face looking at me from the front seat and I smiled. Mummy reached back and touched my face with her fingers and I liked it
“You want a McDonalds buddy?” Daddy asked
“McDonaldssssssss! Yaaaaaay!” I said. Oh boy! I wanted a McDonalds! “Can I get a toy too?”
“You sure can kiddo” Daddy said.
We were driving to where uncle Jason was. Mummy and Daddy were in my car. The one daddy brought me because I had a dream about it. Uncle Scott and Aunt Kelsie were coming with us in their own car. I heard mum tell dad to take the next exit, whatever that meant. I saw the big M sign and I got excited. Yahoo
“Mum” I said “I need to go”
“I thought so. I think we all need a break. It’s a long drive” Mummy said
Daddy started to park the car and then mummy was taking me out of the baby seat. Which was silly because I’m the supreme and she makes me sit in the baby seat. I’m not a baby.
“Oh look, there’s uncle Scott” Mummy said
“Hey kai” Uncle Scott said, lifting me up “Lets go potty and get some McDonalds”
I nodded and started to laugh. He always tickles my tummy. Daddy was helping mummy because her tummy was so big and auntie Kelsie was helping with a spell. I know because I told her the spell when mummy felt very sick.
When we went inside, I saw lots of cars and people. Some even had their dogs. I wanted to play with the dogs but I couldn’t...I had to help uncle Jason.
And if I didn’t help him good….then I wouldn’t be alone because everyone else would die.
