Cleovanna slammed her hand down onto the other, driving the stake further into her sister’s chest. Tears streamed down her face as she watched her sister die in front of her at her hand. When she released the stake, Chloe collapsed into a heap, landing on top of the equally dead Victor. Before I could move in to hold her, Cleovanna began to levitate off the ground.
Her whole body began to glow brightly as if there were light inside her trying to come out; it shone out of her eyes, ears, and mouth. Her hair raised up as she was engulfed in a huge ball of light and raised higher into the air.
“Cleo!” I shouted and I had the sudden urge to get out of the room, but I couldn’t leave her.
I felt Anthony grab my arm and start to pull me away from the giant orb of light that
