Shay’s POV
I ran into the hallway after my beloved, or should I say my asshole. I don’t know why I’m chasing him; I should just let him leave and tell Lefu I didn’t meet anyone here.
I stopped at a crossway in the hallway. I sniffed left, then right, not getting a trace of where he was.
“s**t!” I yelled, knowing I had lost him. I pulled my silk robe closer to my body, the cold hallway sending chills through me. I turned around to go back to my room, trying to gather my thoughts. Maybe this is a good thing.
When Lefu introduces me to everyone when they’re awake later, I can resist the urge to go to my beloved now that I’ve met him. I stopped time when I met him. I know that’s what that was.
