“We still can’t reach anyone at the Water Court. Alpha Cyrus is coming alone, and Alpha Lamar should be here any moment,” Kai explained as I walked to the war planning room.
“I’m nervous about Mihail,” I admitted to Kai. It’s not like him to go on radio silence. He always texts me back. And why isn’t anyone else answering?
My stomach dropped at the thought of them going missing too. I’m an i***t for letting him go back. I should have kept Mihail here, where I knew he was safe. I’m making all the wrong decisions!
