We’ve been at the safe house for a few days, and it’s honestly been a blur. We hardly talked; all of us were just waiting until we could get to safety. The whole experience has left me a little numb, and I think I could say the same about everyone else.
Zaire had been pretty quiet, understandably so. He was so excited to meet his mom and get to know her, but then it turns out she’s actually psycho. Talk about a rough mother-in-law.
I tried talking with him a few times about it, but he wants to forget the whole thing. I can’t blame him, but I hope he doesn’t hold it all inside too much.
Dad, on the other hand, was truly starting to go insane, and if it weren’t for mom, he’d have lost it by now. He’s been fixated on getting home, making a plan, then going after Yadira head-on
