Malakai’s POV
I finished getting dressed when Marina stepped out of her bathroom wearing an elegant, floor-length red dress. It had a slit up the side, showing off her red stiletto heels. Fill curls fell down her back, and she handed me a necklace to help her.
She gently moved her hair, giving me room to clasp the necklace behind her neck. Once it was secure, I turned her around, looking her up and down.
“Beautiful,” I heard Damari in the doorway.
“What are you doing here?” She yelled at him, “You need to be getting ready!” She scolded him, and he shrugged.
“I just wanted to thank you before I go out there. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have Scarlett, and I wouldn’t be here, so thank you,” He opened his arms, and she stepped in, hugging him tightly.
“Anything for you,” She steppe
