CHAPTER 2 Whatever You Do, Stay the Hell Away From Me… GINA "Mom, how could you do something like this?!" Alexander snarled. By now, his lover was already gone, leaving the room in an uncomfortable silence. Mrs. Black didn't even flinch. "Allex, your wife isn't able to have children. All she knows is how to be bossy and rude to everyone. I simply found another solution." Alexander's jaw tightened. "So you thought taking a nobody like her and using my sperm was going to change things?" He pointed directly at me. My eyes narrowed.A nobody? Oh, he had definitely chosen the wrong person to insult. I pushed myself out of the bed and walked toward him, my anger burning hotter with every step. "You f*****g listen, Skunk." His eyebrows shot up. "If you think degrading me is going to make this situation any simpler, then you must be a bigger i***t than you look!" I poked his chest. He scoffed and looked down at me. "You heard me right, you dwarf. You're a nobody. You're lucky you're carrying my baby. Otherwise, I would have gladly tossed you out like a sack of potatoes." A slow smile spread across my lips. How smart of him. Calling me a dwarf? Calling me a nobody? He had no idea what was coming his way. "Yunno what?" I said, backing away. "You should go after your wife and leave me alone before I do something." I turned around and walked toward the door. "Wait." I stopped and I glanced over my shoulder. Alexander looked as though he wanted to say something, but apparently, even he couldn't find the right words. That's good. I walked out. When I turned around, I found Mrs. Black standing there with the biggest smile plastered across her face. "Wow," she said. "You two are a perfect match." I rolled my eyes. "Perfect match? Are you serious?" "I love how you made him speechless. I've never seen Alexander become speechless before." "Well, congratulations."I said then folded my arms. "I cannot believe you did all of this and you're still talking about how brave I was." Mrs. Black's smile faded slightly as she approached me. "You need the money." I froze. "I heard your mother is sick," she continued. "And you need money for her surgery. I saw this as an opportunity." She placed a hand on my shoulder. "All you need to do is give birth. After that, you'll be free." I bit my lip. My mother's face immediately flashed through my mind. The hospital bills were really high and the surgery was costy Everything I had been desperately trying to find money for.I swallowed saliva. "How much are we talking about?"I asked Mrs. Black chuckled. "Half a million per month." My eyes widened. Half. A. Million. Per month? "And after you move in with Alexander, you'll have a private driver, maids, expensive clothes, anything you need—" "Deal." I cut her off instantly. She blinked and I smiled "Deal."she spoke as well but The Money, That was all my brain could think about. If this ridiculous arrangement could save my mother, then I didn't care how much Alexander hated me. I could survive him. Besides... I had survived worse. "Great, love!" Mrs. Black clapped her hands. "Let's get moving." I grabbed my things. For the first time since waking up in that strange room, I felt like maybe things weren't completely hopeless. Little did I know... Moving into Alexander Black's mansion was about to turn my life upside down. ....... ALEXANDER "Mom, tell me you're joking." Mother only stared at me calmly. "I am not joking." "You expect me to let her move into my house?"I asked with so much fury bottled inside "Yes." She replied and eyes snapped "No." "Alexander."she muttered sternly and I still replied "Absolutely not." I paced around the room, frustration written all over my face. "You already ruined my life by arranging this entire situation behind my back. Now you want to bring her into my house?" "She is carrying your child." She tried convincing me "That doesn't mean she belongs in my house!" But mom only sighed. "You need to calm down." I rolled my eyes , I couldn't believe this . "I am perfectly calm." "You look like you're about to break a wall."she spoke and this time I glared at her. But She only smiled. "Besides, Dora doesn't need to know everything." My expression changed immediately. "Dora?" "Yes. Your wife."My jaw clenched. "This is going to destroy everything." I muttered "Only if you allow it to." I stared at my mother. "You're unbelievable."I sighed I couldn't believe she was this calm "And you're being dramatic." "I don't want that woman anywhere near me." I muttered, that woman seemed so disrespectful Mom shrugged. "You'll survive." She walked toward the door then stopped for a brief moment."She moves in tomorrow." I spun around. "Tomorrow?!" But she was already walking away. I dragged a hand down my face. This couldn't be happening. I walked to Dora, who was still in our room. When I told her everything she got mad "You're telling me she's moving into the mansion?" Dora stared at Me in disbelief. "Yes." "Why?" "Because she needs somewhere to stay." I muttered and she sighed narrowing her eyes "There are thousands of places she could stay She can't stay here." "Not every place can provide what she needs, she is holding my child for Christ saked." Dora folded her arms. "And why does she need to stay so close to you huh?" Dora's expression hardened I could see she was not coping with this situation. She didn't like this. Not one bit. The thought of another woman living under the same roof as us made jealousy crawl through her. " Fine but promise you'll never treat her like me. You'll put me first ."she muttered and I smiled nodding. ... GINA The next day, I stood outside the enormous Black mansion with my suitcase beside me. I stared at the building. This place was huge like ,ridiculously huge. I looked down at my clothes, then back at the mansion. "Okay, Gina," I whispered to myself. "Don't embarrass yourself." The front doors opened.A maid stepped outside. "Miss Gina?" I nodded. "Yes." "Mr. Black asked me to show you to your room." I smiled."Thank you." As I stepped inside, I couldn't help staring at everything. The polished floors ,the giant staircase and the expensive decorations. I had officially entered another world. But then I remembered Alexander's face.My smile disappeared. Right. The man hated me. But fine by me,I didn't need him to like me. I only needed the money. As I walked upstairs, I made myself one promise.I would haunt them then get my mother's surgery paid for. And then I would leave. Simple. Or at least... That's what I thought. That evening, Alexander walked into the room and immediately stopped when he saw me. His eyes hardened. "You."I smiled sweetly. "Me." He shut the door behind him. We were alone. The smile disappeared from my face.Alexander walked toward me slowly. "Listen carefully." I raised an eyebrow. "I don't care what my mother promised you. I don't care how much money you're getting." He stopped a few feet away from me. "But while you're here, stay out of my way." I crossed my arms. "Gladly."I responded with a smirk "And don't get any ideas."he muttered our eyes still meeting "What ideas?" His expression turned cold. "Whatever you do..." He pointed toward the door. "Stay the hell away from me." She warned I stared at him ,then I smiled. "Trust me, Skunk." I picked up my bag on the floor. "I wasn't planning on getting anywhere near you." His eyes narrowed. I walked past him. But neither of us knew that despite our promises... We were about to become impossible to stay away from each other.
