CHAPTER ONE "Congratulations, ma'am. You're pregnant."The doctor's words hit me like a slap. My eyes widened as I stared at him, completely frozen. Pregnant? No ,That was impossible. I slowly opened my eyes, trying to understand where I was. A doctor stood beside my bed, holding a file, while a strange woman stood behind him with a smile on her face. My brows furrowed ,I knew that woman. I just couldn't remember where I'd seen her. "What... what did you say?" I whispered. The doctor glanced at the woman before looking back at me. "You're pregnant mam." My heart stopped. Six weeks? "No." I shook my head immediately. "That's not possible. I've never had s****l i*********e with any man. So how could I possibly be pregnant?" My voice trembled as panic settled inside me. The woman finally stepped forward. I stared at her carefully.Something about her face was familiar.Then it hit me. I'd seen her before.At the restaurant where I used to work. But why was she here? "Hello, Gina."The moment she said my name, a chill ran down my spine. "Who are you?" I demanded and she smiled. "Don't be angry with me."That sentence alone made my stomach twist. "What did you do?" She hesitated for a moment before speaking."I had you artificially inseminated." My mouth fell open. "What?" "I injected you with my son's sperm while you were unconscious." For a moment, I couldn't breathe.Then rage exploded through me. "You WHAT?!" I tried to sit up, but the sudden movement made my head spin. "You drugged me and did this to me without my permission?!" The woman didn't even look ashamed.Instead, she calmly adjusted her handbag. "I assure you, Gina, the father of your baby is an extremely wealthy man. He'll make sure you're taken care of." I stared at her in disbelief. "Taken care of?"I almost laughed. "You think money makes this okay?" "No."She sighed. "But my son is stubborn. He refused to give me grandchildren he doesn't know." I stared at her as though she'd lost her mind. "So you chose me?" "I found out about you when you were working at that restaurant." She moved closer. "I watched you for weeks. I saw the way you treated people. You were kind even when nobody was watching."Her smile widened. "I knew you were the one." My hands curled into fists after hearing that. "You don't know me." "I know enough." "No, you don't!" I snapped. "I have a boyfriend. I have plans for my future. You can't just destroy my life because you wanted a grandchild!" For the first time, her smile disappeared. "You'll understand eventually."she spoke as if what she was normal "I will never understand this." I pushed the blanket away and tried to stand.The doctor immediately stepped forward. "Ma'am, you need to remain calm." "Don't tell me to remain calm!"I snapped Tears burned my eyes. Someone had made a decision about my body without me.And now I was the one expected to deal with the consequences. "Who is he?" I demanded. The woman went silent. "Who is the father?" She exchanged a look with the doctor.Then she finally answered. "My son is Alexander Black." The name meant nothing to me. "And who exactly is Alexander Black?" The woman stared at me.Then she said something that made my blood run cold. "He's one of the richest men in the country." I swallowed. "I don't care how rich he is." I muttered, "You will when you meet him." "I don't want to meet him."I spoke clearly Her expression suddenly became serious. "You don't have a choice." My heart pounded. Before I could respond, the hospital door opened. A man stepped inside. Tall. Impossibly calm. Dressed in a perfectly tailored black suit.The entire room seemed to change the moment he entered. His cold eyes swept across the room before landing on me.I had never seen him before. But somehow, I knew.That was him. The billionaire. The father of the baby growing inside me. Alexander Black. His gaze dropped briefly to my stomach before returning to my face.There was no warmth in his expression. No surprise. No tenderness. Nothing. Just cold calculation. "Who is this woman and why did you call me ?" he asked. I stared at him. "Wait he doesn't know me ?" His mother smiled."Meet the mother of your unborn baby Alex." She broke the news His jaw tightened , then he looked at me again."What!! Don't tell me you have her my sperm. And I suddenly realized something. " Her mother didn't tell him. I opened my mouth to speak, but before I could, a woman appeared behind him. She walked into the room confidently, her hand slipping around his arm. "Alexander," she said softly. He turned toward her.Then she looked at me. Her eyes glared at me . And her expression changed. "Who is she?" I looked at Alexander. He didn't answer. The strange woman who had brought me here Smirked. The woman beside Alexander tightened her grip around his arm. "Alexander," she repeated, her voice colder this time. "I asked you a question." He finally looked at her.And the words that came next shattered whatever hope I had left. "Ohh, I would like you to meet Gina, Alexander's baby mama ." Mrs Banks spoke with so much confidence. "Noo!! How could you let this happen Alexander huh!! I'm supposed to give you children not a nobody like her!! But I didn't look at her I looked at Allexender who was glaring at me hatefully.
