The Sun Strider was a strange-looking craft compared to its contemporaries. It had a thin hull tapered at both ends, with a flush deck forward and only a small aft cabin at the stern. The masts, of which there were only two aside from the bowsprit, were made of a particularly dark wood, standing in stark contrast to the yardarms, which were almost white. The green sails sat furled as they made their way down to the docks, where a small oared boat stood ready.
Sun Strider“The skiff," said Gwalinor, "will take us out to the Sun Strider. We dare not bring it in beside the dock.”
Sun Strider“Why is that?” said Danica.
“The motion of the waves might cause it to rub up against the dock, and we cannot afford to have it damaged.”
