Lucius's Epiphany

If a picture could tell a thousand words, then the same was true of Minerva's face as she left Lucius's room that afternoon. Things were not looking good. Or, at least, they were not looking perfect. This was always enough for Minerva to worry, and as Lucius lay there, with the day graying and threatening to rain, he couldn't help but blame himself. He'd been like a little boy needing his mommy to look after him. Ever since his father died, he'd been the same. It's like he was still twelve years old at times. These thoughts and more angered him enough that, despite his still weakened state, he hobbled out of bed and to the window where he had a view of the horses.
