It was a gray, dull morning as Dr. Franks left his car in the public car park to walk a third of a mile to his secret laboratory within the clinic's grounds. For the past twenty years, Minerva had been interested in gene therapy. She wanted to live forever and believed, as did Dr. Franks, that this was achievable using a combination of modern science and vampire genes.
