Packed together comfortably, shoulder to shoulder, Malana Kalani, Pari Malik, and Roman Antonius append their headphones and fasten their seat belts. The 35-feet main rotor blades above them whirl, perpendicular to the ground, and the helicopter's landing skids rise from the airstrip. They hover in place, waiting for their designated spot among the fleet of six sightseeing choppers, then follow the tail rotor of the craft ahead of them along a terminal parallel with Las Vegas Boulevard.
Lift off is unexpected. Within seconds they are aloft, at the southern tip of the boulevard strip, cruising above the rooftops of most of the world's largest hotel and casino resorts. The helicopter's wraparound windows present vibrant night views in every forward direction.
