28 RehearsalAfter the third ring of Malana Kalani's doorbell is met with silence, Pari Malik steps off Malana's porch and attempts to reach her by mobile phone instead.
"Hello, Pari," Malana whispers.
"Malana, it is urgent I meet with you immediately," Pari says. "Will you please open your door and let me in?"
"I am not at home."
"Why are you whispering?"
"I don't want to interrupt the people nearby," Malana answers.
"Where are you?" Pari asks.
"I would rather not say, but I can meet you later this afternoon when I get home."
"No, Malana, it is imperative I talk with you without any delay whatsoever. Please. Where can I find you?"
"Fionn invited me to his rehearsal," Malana answers. "I cannot leave. I drove him here. I am giving him a ride home too."
"Okay, I am on my way,"
