It had been two days and for the umpteenth time, her screams woke me. They resonated in my dreams where I was running from a big black wolf with violet eyes that had the aura of my father. I opened my eyes on time to see her engulfed in flames. Green flames that licked at her skin but did not burn. “What are you doing!?” I screamed. The chains around my wrists kept me from charging the elf-like man roasting my friend. “You’re awake.” The elf shone his bright torch at me.
