Chapter 10- Werewolves Are Real

John Luke's POV
I couldn't help but smile at Sadies excitement as we walked through the office towards my private conference room. Oclan was prancing in my mind like a puppy who just got their favorite toy. "We will make arrangements to get everything in order with school and set up housing here as long as you do want to stay" I explained as we walked in the conference room.
"That would be amazing" she answered still wide eyed and taking everything in.
I gestured for her to take a seat next to my mother who was seated across from my father and I. I looked into her eyes unsure how to explain everything to her.
"Sadie I need you to promise not to freak out and just listen to what we tell you" I spoke softly.
"Okay" she answered unsure of herself.
"Everything you have seen in your dreams is real" I stopped waiting to see her reaction. She just blinked at me like I was the crazy one now.
"How?" is all she asked looking between me and my parents.
"Stop me if I am wrong but you have been hearing a voice in your head today right?" her eyes widened at my question "that would be your wolf Sadie has she told you her name yet?"
"W-what do you mean wolf?" she stuttered out but then followed up with "Mai her name is Mai"
"That is a beautiful name" I touched her hand "I am sure you heard bed time stories of Werewolves being blood thirsty monsters with no control."
She shook her head up and down indicating that was true.
"Those are all fairy tales, real shifters usually have full control over our wolves we work together, live in packs, and are peaceful people for the most part. We live away from human settlements for safety reasons but in many cases own business in the human world or work in it" I explained as she just looked at me.
"So you are trying to tell me that the voice in my head is my wolf and that werewolves exists?" she asked almost laughing.
"Yes and you are able to shift into said wolf" I answered.
"You are full of it John Luke" she stated.
"Do you want me to prove it?" I asked
"Yes because right now I think you are as crazy as I am"
"Okay but I need you to promise me that you will not tell the girls or anyone else what you are about to see" I told her standing from my seat and walking to an empty space at the end of the table.
"I promise, because if this is all true they would commit me just for saying it" she laughed dryly.
After she promised I slowly let Oclan come to the surface my eyes changing from green to black. I watched as she sat amazed by the change and then shifted into Oclan.
She grabbed my mother's hand as I shifted not sure what was happening but as soon as she saw Oclan again she quickly made her way to him scratching between our ears.
"My protector" she whispered "so it was you"
I pushed for the mind link between Sadie and I wondering if it worked since she was still technically a pack member "Sadie can you hear me"
"yes" she answered out loud eyes wide in surprise.
"This is Oclan," I again used the mind link "my wolf."
"How is he talking in my head" she turned to my father and asked.
"That would be the mind link dear, it allows pack members to communicate no matter what, it is especially helpful around humans" dad answered her question "if you just think back he will hear you the same way"
Sadies POV
John Luke now stood in front of me as a large black wolf who he said was named Oclan. I couldn't believe what I was seeing and hearing I stood slack jawed taking everything in.
"I told you it would make sense soon Sadie" Mai said in my mind "mate tells the truth we belong here with our pack"
John Luke's voice once again came through the mind link "do you want to try shifting? I would love to see Mai"
"How?" I c****d my head looking at him.
"Just imagine yourself as a wolf and allow Mai to take control" he explained as I shifted nervously on my feet "but I will tell you the first shift takes time and can be painful"
"Okay"
His mother spoke from behind me "dear before you shift it is best if you take off your clothes as they will be torn to shreds in the shift we will step out for you to change into one of the shirts JL brought for you just knock when you are ready we will be here for the shift in case anything happens"
I shook my head nervously as they walked out of the room and I slowly took off my sundress and underwear folding them and placing them on the table and slipping John Luke's shirt over my head his scent enveloping me causing Mai and I to both purr. After changing I walked to the door and allowed John Luke and his parents back in the room to help with the shift.
"Are you ready for this?" Mai asked me
"I mean this is all a very elaborate prank, a hallucination or real so let's find out which" I laughed back in my head.
"Okay Sadie if it hurts too much just tell me and we can stop" John Luke reassured me as Oclan licked my hand reassuringly.
I closed my eyes trying to focus on Mai in my mind and heard gasps all around me causing me to open my eyes. As I looked down I saw
brilliant white paws below me.
John Luke's voice flitted into my head "Sadie your wolf is beautiful I have never seen a wolf like yours"
"We are special Sadie and so is Mate" Mai spoke to me as Oclan came up to us and nuzzled our neck.
"You are an almost opalescent white except for a small red patch on your front shoulder in the shape of two crescent moons flanking a full moon" John Luke purred into my mind.
I stretched in my new form and slowly walked around the conference room trying to get used to four legs as Oclan gently walked beside me keeping me upright. I walked to where his parents watched on tears brimming their eyes and sat at their feet. Mrs. Sheehan reached down and scratched between my ears causing my back foot to thump against the floor causing them to laugh.
"How do I change back?" I asked John Luke through the link.
"You just have to think about it. If you want to change back just let me know and we can step out so you can put your clothes back on"
