The moment Josey opened her eyes, she started to cry. She sat up in bed, held herself tight and cried. The week had proven again that she had no place among the people of Nethersigh. She thought she was done caring. She would absorb the hate instead of fighting against it. She took a deep breath and dried her eyes. She then turned and kicked her feet out of bed.
