Chapter 35 (Final part): Her Luna

Eleven missed calls and nine messages have sent but there was no response from the person that Vanessa wanted to contact with since they arrived.
Her whole family just came home from an out of town trip and instead of resting, she thought of asking Skye to watch a new scifi movie so she called her. But the latter doesn't even answer. She thought of calling Maddison or Levi but she didn't continue it because the couple might be busy, especially since their wedding is coming up.
Vanessa put her phone down on her bed before she took off her clothes and entered the bathroom to take a shower.
After about ten minutes, she got out with her body wrapped in a towel and checked her phone. There was still no reply.
She sighed. If it was someone else, she would definitely get angry. But it's Skye. The girl she admits she likes. She knows that she shouldn't, because in their kind there is someone destined for them that they will love forever. Their mate. And it wasn't Skye.
Vanessa put her phone down on her bed for the second time before she quickly change into her new clothes. While she was getting dressed, she heard Piper's voice downstairs. She just entered their house and immediately spoke to her mother who was in the kitchen.
After she got dressed, she picked her phone from her bed and put it in the back pocket of her jeans. Then she walked towards the vanity mirror and combed her hair. She waited their conversation to end and when Piper finally walked out on their house, she texted her.
"Do you know where Skye is? She didn't reply to my calls and messages. What's up with her?." Vanessa started.
She heard piper stop on her tracks just outside their front yard and took her phone out from the pocket of her gray crop top hoodie.
Vanessa patiently waited for her reply. She actually wanted to call Piper and talk to her but she doesn't want Dean, who was currently on his room that next to hers, to hear her talking about Skye. Dean will surely hit her with the reality that it is impossible for him and Skye to be together.
"I don't really know, I didn't see her yesterday. Maybe she's sleeping. She must be tired cause Maddison tag her along in the party last night." Piper replied on the text.
"Oh she came along?"
"Yeah, she did." Piper's short reply.
"Wait. I still have some errands to do with mom. Text you later." Piper added before she put her phone back to her pocket and entered their house.
Vanessa sighed as she faced the mirror. If only she knew that skye was going to come to that party, she wouldn't have left and join the part with her instead.

"Yeah, it's me." said by the person on the other line.
Violet's tone of voice was almost a monotone.
Maddison was quiet surprised by a call from her. Levi had described her as a cold and distant person. It was unexpected for her to call Maddison.
"Did you get my number from Levi?" Maddison warily.
"Yeah." Violet replied quickly. Before Maddison can say something more, she speaks again.
"How is she?" She simply asked like it's normal question, but Maddison can tell that there was concerned behind her voice.
Maddison sighed. She pulled a chair from the table and sat down. All the way thinking on how she would tell that her little sister was not fine at all.
"Umm.. she's sleeping right now. Actually she hasn't left the room since this morning. All she did was sleeping, she doesn't want to eat either. And she avoids talking about last night."
Maddison said in a exhausted voice.
"Violet?" Maddison softly called her and the Alpha was ready to listen. " .....can you please tell me what really happened? I'm so worried about her. When I entered her room , she was just blankly staring at the window. I'm not used to her being like that." She continued, she desperately wanted to know so that she can help Skye whatever it is.
Violet think thoroughly before she answered.
"I saw her helping a woman when I came out of the event hall. The woman looked sick and her nose bled. She got some on her hand when she touched her nose and Skye saw it." Violet explained. She can still vividly remember all of what happened.
Maddison got silence for a while. She instantly knew what's the reason why her sister was like that.
She closed her eyes for a moment and sighed. When their mom died, Skye was like this too. She doesn't want to eat, doesn't say anything, wants to be alone and was always staring into nothing. Now she understood why Skye reacted like that last night.
She didn't want her sister to experience that again. It took way longer before she recovered and got back to her usual self. And now, for just a mere of blood , it's starting to repeat again.
"May I know why she reacted like that?" Maddison thought was cut off when Violet speaks again.
It took a few seconds for her to reply. Their mother was a sensitive topic. Although she doesn't like to talk about the past, Violet has the right to know.
"It's about our mom." Maddison started in a faint voice. She closed her eyes again and gathered some strength to continue speaking. "She was sick back then, she passed out several times and Skye had witnessed it all. The first time she did, her nose bled, and Skye was the only one who was there. It really scared her. She was young and she love our mom very much " She continued, trying to stop herself from crying.
"Mom's death broke her. I don't want her to experience it all again."
Violet don't know what to say. She's not the type to show sympathy to others. But she is deeply concerned about Skye. Her inner wolf wanted to make a move to help her cope up with the sadness she felt. And for the first time, her reasonable mind agreed to it.
