After laying in silence for so many hours, every sound sounded like elephants stomping. I heard voices approaching the cell. It wasn’t the voices that had my heart racing, it was the smell that filled my nostrils. Darren was screaming in my head. “Mate! Mate is here!”
But what on earth would Ally be doing here? Maybe Mike had taken her prisoner too. I truly hoped that wasn’t the case. I don’t think my heart would be able to stand to see her in chains or witness her being harmed. The voices stopped right outside my cell and Mike laughed.
