She took his hand, and they danced off. When I looked around, most of the extra people I didn't know were gone, and just our main group was left. I go sit next to Knox by the bar, and he checks to see if I'm still alive. "You're still alive? I thought you died with my sister on that dance floor. You guys danced for 2 hours like that," he says, and I'm shocked. How did I not realize the time flew so fast? "s**t, really? That explains all the guests that are missing," I say, rubbing my hands over my face. "Yah, so you're into my sister now?" he says with a serious note. I study him; he is concerned about his little sister, so he has to be serious. "You noted that," I say, and he smiles. "Everyone noticed you were on the dance floor for two hours, nuzzling your face in her hair and her lying with her head on your chest while dancing so slow like a couple in love," he says with a matter-of-fact tone. I sigh and look back to where she is now dancing with her father. I'm falling in love with her, and she doesn't even know it. I came home from the party at 3 in the morning. With the girls sleeping on the back seat, I stop in front of the door and climb out. I go to Violet's side, and I pick her up and carry her in to the house princess style and go upstairs and lay her down in her bed, take her shoes off, and put her covers over her. I go back to the car and get Mila and do the exact same thing to her: take her shoes off, tuck her in, and go to my room. When I get there, I close my door and start stripping and walk to the shower. It was a long day; I need sleep. I wake up at 9 in the morning. It was a long night, and I have a hangover. I pick up my phone, and I check if I have any notifications. I usually only have notifications from Blare, my assistant. I was shocked to see an unknown number that messaged me. I check the picture first, and it's a gorgeous picture of Bella. She was wearing a dark green, almost army green, tank top and high-waisted white jean shorts and white sneakers at the beach, her hair flowing with the wind, the sunset in the background. She is smiling so brightly, and you can see she is carefree. I open the message: "Hey Hawk, I just wanted to thank you for the gift last night and, ummm, the other presents," she wrote.
