trip back

533 Words
I go sit on my bed, and I look at my phone. I shoot a reply to him: "Sorry, I was packing my suitcase for the trip back. Sorry for worrying you." I text him back, and I take my suitcase to the front so I can put it in the car later. I go sit with my parents in the sitting room and watch some TV. I don't really watch; my mind is so foggy, and I have lots of questions. My phone vibrates in my pocket when I check it. It's Hawk. "No problem, princess. See you later," he texts with a winky face. What's up with the nickname? He usually calls me Bella for some reason, and now it's "princess." I can't with him. I don't know what he is thinking. I took a small nap after lunch, and it's now 2 pm. I wait for everyone to assemble so we can drive back. Everyone arrives on time. I greet my parents and my Knox and Hawk on the bikes and Mia, the 2 sets of twins, and Willow in the cars. My cousins and Garland left this morning early; they had work to do. They have cool jobs but busy jobs. Garland is a famous book writer, Jett is an actor, and Arlo is a model. They are all famous, but most of us are just more of us. We have a smooth ride back home. I stop at my brother's house because he has to show me my new house. Apparently Mia's mom and dad chose my new house, and I have to see it so I can know what I need in the house. I stand in their kitchen, and I look at the house next door. It used to be an empty lot, but someone bought it and built a mansion on it. They must have finished recently; it's a beautiful mansion. Mia and my brother just packed out quickly, and then they were ready. For some reason, they blindfolded me and helped me climb in the car. We drove what seemed to me like 2 minutes, and we stopped, and Knox helped me out of the car. I'm standing in front of my new house. Mia takes off my blindfold, and I start laughing. "You drove me around the block so I would be confused," I say, and I'm looking at the house next to my brother's house. They bought the lot next to my brother's house and built me a new mansion, not a house. I didn't even look at the address when I opened the deed to the mansion at my party. "Well, yes, how were we supposed to surprise you?" Knox asked. I laughed and hugged him and Mia. "Thank you, I love how it's designed," I said, and they smiled. "Mom, of course, you know how much she loves drawing. She drew the house even before we decided to do this, about 2 years ago, and then they saw the lot go on sale, and they decided to buy it after you won the designer of the year last year as a reward and a present for your birthday," Knox said.
