Mysteria POV
The night went on and we let evey celebrate, but it was to be over by 10:00 p.m. because we all wanted enough time to have it cleaned up. Thankfully as the party died down almost everyone that attended helped clean up and as 10:00p.m. crept around the cornerwe were finally almost done. I was so tired and ready to go to bed. My dress was snug on me and it felt like it was starting to get hard to breath and my heels were killing me. I didn't wear them often but when I did, saved them for special occations only. As soon as I got to my room I was so happy to take off my heels and change into my pajamas.
It felt so much better than my dress and heels. I figured a shower in the morning would help and relax me in the morning. I layed in bed for what seemed like hours and I could not sleep. I talked on of the guards into taking me to get some tea made so I could hopefully get some sleep. They both took me to the kitchen downstairs and down the hall. When we got thier I heard voices talking and did not recognize the the first voice but I sure as heck recognized Mindy's voice.
They were talking about how to get rid of me and my mother. This was not good, and I knew it. I knocked on the door before going in and acted as if I heard nothing and the guards followed me in. Their stood mindy, and it looked like she was making herself a cup of tea too. I smiled at her and asked..... Can't sleep either? Uh, no the queen is struggling so I thought I would take this up to her to help her sleep so she can get better.
The smell of the tea smelled all wrong and was definantly a kind I knew my mother would not like. It smells like a new tea, my mother wont like it. She usually likes the sleepytime tea with a spoonful of honey. I was going to make some tea for me, i'll remake her tea and take it to her. I wanted to check on her and daddy before I went to bed anyways. She unhappily set the whole tea set down and walked briskly out of the kitchen.
I mind linked my father and told him what I heard and he was not happy. Mother had gotten worse and we were worried she wouldnt make it to my 17th birthday with what she was going through. He set the guards to take Mindy away on the way home to her house so no one could see what was happening in the darkness. My father came to the kitchen to see what she had made and he was not happy. She had put silver and wolvesbane in the tea and thats why it smelled funny. Since I heard another female voice I also told my dad I don't think she left the property yet.
I didn't see her, but I am sure I heard her. Hopefully we could stop who ever was doing this to my mother before it killed her. I was donating blood at least once a week to help her and she would do great for a while and then do bad again. Dad had started to put extra guards by his room for mom. He put two in his room to keep eyes on mom and put 2 out side the door. I really didn't want to loose my mom and this had been going on for almost a year strait.
I just recently about 2 months ago started to donate blood to her so it could help her chances. We didn't know what else we were suppose to do. Dad took me to see mama and she was not doing so good. She was doing so bad we had to rush her to the ICU to be taken care of. I planned on donating more blood for her when we got thier. The doctor would keep my blood under lock and key so no one could tamper with it.
I was not happy because they took two pints from me of blood and I had to stay over night so I could be monitored. They tried to talk me into coming back tomorrow to give the other one, but I wanted to stay with my mom in the same room too. They allowed me and dad to stay with her and we had more than plenty of guards infront of the door. I think we had 6 and they rotated shifts so that the others could take breaks and sleep a little bit. This was going to be a crazy time for all of us. For now I was happy to see mom doing some what better.
She was able to walk around just a little bit, but not for more than ten minutes at a time. She was still weak and it was just hard on her body. This was going to be a long road to recovery for her and we all knew it. This will be good though that she was able to start to feel better and that she was able to walk around. I got released earlier this morning so I came back after a shower and a run to see how she was. She was asleep and her water cup was empty so at least she was drinking her water so she didnt need the IV with with water anymore, but they kept the IV in her just incase to help her if she needed the help again.
They felt it was a bad idea to remove the IVs and let her go home yet. With hopes she would get to make it to me 17th birthday in a few months. I really hoped that would be the case. The time went by and my mom seemed to get better with time and eventually got to where she could do things for at least 45 minutes before she had to sit down. She had been at the hospital for about a month in rehabilitation so she was doing good and they were talking about sending her home soon. The next few days would determine that and my dad and I were the only ones allowed to visit her until she left the hospital.
Before we knew it that week was over and mom was being released. She was still having trouble, but that was ok. They thought she would do well as long as she had the wheel chair, so the doctor let us take a wheel chair as long as we brought it back when she was done using it. We mostly stayed in her room so I went to keep her company. We still had someone who was trying to poison mom and we knew it was going to be a long road ahead. I wanted to stay near her and the guards were on high alert because the protection details were set up higher.
I went down to the dinning hall kitchen and just as I reached the door I heard the same voices, so I asked my father to pull up the security camras out side of the dinning hall and in the dinning hall. Just as before I heard them rush off and no sight of the other woman. She sounded familiar though, both times I heard her. Mom never talked much about her side of the family.
