Gill had spent time in the prison without even noticing the presence of Jessie.
"Hey man. Wanna play rock, paper, scissors", was a strange voice that occurred at the back of Gill. "Sure, why not", was Gill's sincere reply.
Gill has made lots of friends while in prison. Some even better than when he was not in prison. One of his best friends was a man named Tom.
Tom was arrested for s****l assault of sexually abusing a girl. He has been in prison for about a year now but just as Gill, felt no regrets.
Santana Prison was not only known for its faculties, it also had a way of getting you gripped and wanting to stay forever. It has been recorded that over 15 criminals in the prison declined their release statement.
Jessie didn't like the prison as much as Gill did. The side she resided told her lots of stories which showed that death was omninent in the prison. She usually watched her back, prayed and sought for the day they will be called for release.
One year later......
A year passed and Gill was happier in the jail than outside the jail but that was all about to change.
One night as Gill was sleeping the sound of cutlass hitting a plank of wood began to sound. Gill became curious and walked outside his cell to see what was happening.
He looked outside into the recession area and a splash of blood made him to turn back. He kept the situation silent until morning.
"I experienced a splash of blood last night. It was so frightening that I had to turn back", Gill explained to his prison mates.
He then led them away to where he witnessed it. The odour was so repelling and the scene was indisimate to look at. With that, Big John Bobby or so he was famously called began to tell them the story.
"It has been known in this prison of a man or two who kills whoever he pleases. No one knows how he looks like but what they do know is the fact that "ANYONE COULD BE NEXT".
A great shiver sprung around Gill as he feared what he had just heard. He began to wonder that he could be next.
The deaths didn't end there. Many more were recorded in all Gill's time of him being present there. Even the women got attacked.
Gill got tired of the situation and took matters in his own hands.
Late in the night, when Gill was asleep he heard the sound of wood hitting a plank. A sound which he usually heard.
He got out and charged running into the scene. "Who is there?", Gill shouted shivering from head to toe. Tom, the man who was murdering recognised the voice straight away and formed his voice.
"Leave now. Before you die without pride".
"Tom, is that you?". Tom was stunned to hear those words, 'How did he know it is me?'. Tom hesitated for a while and then spoke, "Leave here, you do not understand why I do this". "I don't need to understand. Just drop the cutlass and talk it out".
Either Gill had a way of manipulating people or Tom was an easy person to manipulate but it worked. No one ever dared go close to Tom with the mindset that he would kill them too.
Tom explained everything to Gill. The fact that he was framed and accused falsely of doing s****l assault. All that because he was found with a naked woman and his brother wanted to seek revenge so he reported to the police, when in truth, he was helping a little girl who was left naked by her mother.
Since then, he swore revenge on his brother but with his brother not available to kill or harass, he then decided to kill the members of the prison.
"And the court case". "Oh, my brother manipulated it and possibly bribed the judge and so I lost the case".
Gill felt so sorry about the situation of Tom and promised to make ammense if he could. Tom had been sent to six years in prison for no particular reason.
The next morning, all the prison members consoled Tom and praised Gill after hearing the story told. Gill had become a hero in the prison in just a few years.
Meanwhile, Lisa contacted Daniella to contact for a divorce.
Bring...... Bring......
The phone rang from the other line. "Hello", Daniella answered. "Hi, it's me Lisa. I am just calling to tell you to arrange a divorce". "A divorce, why?", Daniella questioned.
"My husband cheated on me. Now I am divorcing him".
"Oh, that's horrible. Sorry about that. I will arrange a divorce right away", Daniella consoled.
"Thanks. At least I can always count on you to make me feel better", Lisa said as she cut the call.
The divorce was planned. The papers were ready and the court was available, all that awaited was the husband.
Another year later......
The day of the release and Gill didn't seem to care. 'Prison isn't as bad as he thought', he thought to himself. As he and some pals were talking with each other mainly about their problems and finding solutions to them, Gill was picked up by a police and given a statement which states,
'You are now free to go and leave the prison cell'.
Gill bided his pals bye as he skipped his way out of prison never to be seen by them again. Gill didn't inform his father or his manager about the circumstance more importantly he didn't notice the nonpresence of Jessie who had died of shame and suffering while in the prison.
Gill could finally breath the fresh smell of freedom again.
Unfortunately, before Gill knew what was going on, he was dragged by a returning Lisa to the court about a week after his release.
"Where are you taking me", Gill queried which to this and many more of his questions, Lisa kept silent.
They arrived at the court and the papers were signed. The case ended with the judge stating, "I no more declare you husband and wife", and with that closed the case.
Lisa returned to her mother while Gill returned to his father. "So it's over", Gill retaliated.
"Just leave me alone. I never want to see you again", Lisa said as she departed to her mother.
Gill then found himself wandering around Mr. Donald's compound assisting him in any way he could. He knew in his heart that the only woman he had left was Laurel and so began the search to find her.
