The two of them stayed in the abandoned building for the night and the next morning, Jessie began to find the place rather uncomfortable. "So where are the computers or whatever you use at your work place". "Oh that. It is all scheduled. The things get delivered to me when I acquire of them", Gill lied and closed the scene on that chapter.
Meanwhile, Lisa spent the past night trying to contact Gill to see if they had confirmed the date of returning, but he never answered.
She got worried and decided to visit his work place to see what Gill had been up to. She arrived hoping for the best but preparing for the worst.
"Hi there, how can I help you", was the voice heard as Lisa was being greeted by the receptionist. "Umm, pls excuse me, I am looking for the second-in-command of this company, Gill". "Gill, well he hasn't been present here for quite a long time now". Lisa was stunned by what she had heard. 'So he was lying to me?, what has he then being doing for all these months', all these thoughts flashed the mind of Lisa which to these she had no answer to. She then sent for the CEO of the organisation which was called by the receptionist.
"Yes, how can I help you", was the voice of a kind, nicely dressed and observant looking man hoping for a response.
"I am looking for Gill". "Oh, Gill. It has been a while since we last saw him. We have tried to contact him but he never answered". Lisa was devastated staring at the man with eyes full of tears. The only thing she could think of was the prospect of cheat.
Lisa immediately rushed out of the company without a trace. The immediate thought of Gill forced her to contact a friend of hers demanding a search party be conducted.
The same couldn't be said of Gill. He was enjoying his time with Jessie and hoping that the experience would never end but that was all cut short when they heard a loud bang outside the fence of the house.
"Ahhhhh!!!!", was the loud scream that escaped the mouth of Jessie while Gill urged her to stay calm. "It is nothing. Don't worry". At that moment, a troop of police officers came through the door and walls. "You are under arrest for trespassing in a 'NO GO' area", the chief officer said.
" What are you talking about", a confused Jessie asked. "Look outside and you will see". The two then looked outside and noticed the 'NO TRESPASSING' written boldly in the front of the fence. Jessie got so angry at Gill and the next minute Gill recieved a resounding slap on the left side of his cheek.
"So you have been lieing to me this past few months. I demand an explanation", Jessie sobered while in handcuffs. Gill assured her that she would get an explanation but this wasn't the right time for it. They were dragged into the van and driven off to the cell.
When they arrived, Gill and Jessie were inappropriately put in the same cell where they began to complain with each other. "It was dark and so I thought that it was my work place, don't judge me".
"I should not judge you abi, I should not judge you. Well guess what, we will soon all be judged and possibly spending the rest of our lives in jail and I should not judge you". Jessie hissed and gave him another sounding slap before she lay on the bed and continued to sob.
Gill thought of speaking up but just awaited the judgement hoping not to recieve another slap until then.
It was Gill and Jessie's first time being arrested. They were taken away to Santana cell to await judgement.
One week later......
Gill and Jessie were called on for judgement. The judge motioned for them to sit down and began to speak.
"Okay, Gill and Jessie are here accused of trespassing illegally by the commander-in-police of this part of town. Pls can we bring General Rogers up to the stand-by point". With those words, General Rogers came up, took his oath and spoke. He stated the trespassing and made it sound a million times worse.
Afterwards, Jessie stepped up and then Gill, accompanied by other witnesses. To end the claim, Gill stated saying, "It was night time and we were stranded so he had nowhere else to go".
Gill's claims seemed a bit different from Jessie's claims but all in all they made a good point. The judge asked for a recess while preparing a decision.
"Why did you lie out there?", Jessie asked. "It was the only way to get us out of trouble and look, the judge fell for it". "Well let's hope so", Jessie said as the recess concluded.
"With the power invested in me and the jury, I declare these two guilty of trespassing and therefore will be sent to two years in prison". The two were handcuffed and scouted to Santana prison where they stayed.
"This is all your fault", Jessie said crying and sobbing. Gill didn't respond as he was too busy thinking of what he had done to himself.
Two days later.......
Days weren't looking bright for the two. Gill had tryed to contact his colleagues while in prison but none of them gave him a positive response. Gill knew he had to do something drastic and so he called Lisa.
Bring..... Bring, Lisa phone rang on the other side of the line. "Finally, I have been waiting to hear from you for a long time. So where are you?", Lisa reported after answering the call. Gill hesitated for a while and then spoke, "I am in jail".
