Annabel     We arrive at the San Francisco Zoo by mid-day. I have on a wide straw hat to protect myself from the midday sun. After we had agreed to go to the zoo, I had spent the rest of the time packing a small lunch for a picnic. I drop it at the keepers now and we move into the zoo.      "Have you been to this zoo before, Detective?" I ask him. He walks side by side with me, his long strides matching mine.     "Yeah. When I was smaller." He says.      "A pity. I hear your zoo is not something to miss. So many rescued animals, so many endangered species. Why didn't you come back?" I ask. "Were you not impressed?"     "I was. It was all very impressive to a young boy." He says, stroking his beard. "I was just busy. Don't have much time on my hands to think of the zoo."     I shake m
