Stefan     When she swept into the room, fairly bouncing with glee and then stopped abruptly, a choked sound coming from her throat, my heart literally stopped for a moment, before slamming painfully against my chest. I barrel into the room and find her motionless. Her entire body as well as the circle of rug under her is soaking wet. There are small chunks of ice wedged into the thick carpet.      I move forward and pick her up, depositing her on a dry patch of carpet. Her body is ice-cold. There is a small bucket hanging upside down above the door, still dripping water over the ajar door. I slam it closed, furious. I should have predicted this.
