Stefan     "There he is." Officer Mentor gestures at the screen where David Lane sits. He has definitely seen better days, his beard is overgrown and untrimmed, his eyes are tired and filled with shadows and he looks haggard. He sits behind the desk with his head in his hands and has not budged a muscle from his position in fifteen minutes.     "Thank you." I tell the officer and he leaves while I study our culprit a bit more. He was offered the option of bail but due to the crimes he is being accused of and the immediate danger Annabel will be put in the minute he is out, it had been a particularly large bail and of course he could not pay it.
