"Nic, wake up .." "Wake up..." "Beep.. Beep" "Ughh.. " Nicollette groans and rolls out of the bed to only land on her face. "wake up.. Nicccc..." She could hear her mom screaming from the kitchen while preparing her breakfast. " I am up... Maa.. stop yelling!!" yelling back to her mom from the floor she slowly steadies herself. " Is my mom and alarm in some kind of sync.. that they both go off at the same time.. ugh" she murmurs and goes to her bathroom to get ready for the first day of college. The most awaited day of her life, finally she is a step closer to following her dreams. "I can't believe it is finally here...!! I am so excited.." squealing while brushing her teeth. "Should I wear the red crop top with the black high waist jeans and my sneakers or should go formal with the stripped blouse and the navy blue pants and heels?? Oh god !!" shrieking in confusion and excitement. She picks up her phone to video call her bestie, Eshe Adams. " Esh!!!! Good morning babe!!!" waving and screaming right into her phone while grinning ear to ear. " Good morning to you Nic, and yes I am not deaf yet so stop screaming gal and go for the crop top and not the formals..!" answered Esh while casually eating her cereal. "Wait!! how did you know ?!" looking at Esh with a very surprised look. "My dearest Nic, I have known since the day I was born, so now tell me how wouldn't I know what runs through that crazy brain of yours.." says while smirking thinking how this happens almost everytime she goes somewhere new. "Okay so when do I come to pick you up ?" asked Esh, since they were in the same college but different departments. "By 7:30, it is already 7 so I need time to pack and eat my breakfast, also the college only starts at 9:30 so we have enough time." replied Nic " Nic, we have orientation at 9:15, i***t , so make it fast and it will take us exactly one hour to reach there that is if without traffic, so move your ass faster woman.. we are leaving by 7:15" shouted Esh whilst shoving cereal down her throat. *************** Nic " We have reached!!" screams Esh, jumping up and down in the passenger seat. I slowly park my car into the student's parking area and get out and stretch after an hours drive, while taking the view of the enormous campus, with stone and glass structures that have the typical gothic architecture all the while giving an hint of it's year of establishment, enhanced by the well maintained landscape creating the perfect backdrop for the structures to be emphasized. This is it gal, this is your home for the next five years. " I can't believe that you are going to be an architect and me.. a computer engineer.. can't believe that we are a step closer to achieving our goals..." " Me neither Esh, me neither..." " Now give me a hug babe.. " said Esh, engulfing me into a bone crushing hug. "Before you make cry like a baby and ruin my look, let's move to the orientation hall.. " **** " So this is our principal.. heh?!" asks Esh looking at the man in his mid 50's on stage addressing us in a very expensive three piece grey suit and gelled back pepper hair. "Thank you students, I am Mr. Philip Stevens, your principal, with this speech , I welcome all of you 'Caprical University of Arts, Design and Engineering', hope you all have a good day." "Thank you sir", responded the students union secretary "Now, students please move to your respective departments for your department orientation, thank you and have a good day." with we all dispersed to our respective departments with the department representatives. **** We were guided to our classrooms and were asked to introduced ourselves, and finally it ws my turn, " Hi , my name is Nicollette Ann James, I am from Sacramento, and I choose Architecture cause my love stories and how the buildings have a unique way of telling a story. I am so happy to be a part of such a prestigious institution. Thank you.. have a great day.. " and that's me giving the my first intro to the most important day of my life.. ****** After our orientation we were asked to settle down in our classes, I made some new friends, Eliz, Aryan, Blake, Josh and Seira. We all began talking and seems like we share similar taste music and art, it was all in all a great day but last but not the least I was selected as the class representative and our batch advisor gave Drake, the boy representative and me some important guidelines to follow and forms were distributed after which we were dispersed. I was waiting in the cafe for Esh, it was already 1, where did this girl disappear to ? somebody tapped my shoulder bringing back to the real world, I turned around to see a tall guy about 6ft with hazel brown eyes and really cute yet manly smile staring down at me. He had smooth chocolate brown hair and the most perfect teeth, I was in awe staring at at him until he said "Hi", making me blush slightly and at the same gathering myself , " Hi there, do I know you ?" I asked while checking out his well toned body. "Actually yes and no" "Pardon me ?!" I asked very much confused by his reply. " I meant you know me , cause I am in your class but we haven't actually talked or introduced ourselves." he said smiling. " umm okay , did you have something to do with me ?" "Actually yes, Can you add me to the class group and also send me the timetable for tomorrow." he asked keenly. " yeah sure, btw we haven't actually made the class group yet . " " Oh okay, then, anyway here is my number 9**********" replied looking a little embarrassed yet cute. " Yeah, okay I will send you the timetable too.." I said, still not taking my eyes of his hazel ones. "Yeah, see you around then!" " Sorry, I didn't catch your name.." " My name is Ethan Sebastian Ruiz" said extending his hand, I didn't wait for another second shook hands with him and nearly squealing " I am Nic, Nicollette Ann James" I could feel my stomach creeping with butterflies while holding his gaze and my hands still clasped with his. I break the gaze when I could hear Esh screaming my name from behind, and I slowly step backward. " Nice to meet you Nic" and he walks away from me, but I have the sudden urge to go after him. but controlling myself I stand watching him walk away while Esh makes her to our table and I could see the curious glances she gives Ethan's way. "Who's the hottie, babe ?" squealing loud enough for the entire cafe to hear. " A classmate" I replied, sitting down opposite to her. " Do I see a possibility for more than just a classmate?" giving me a questioning glance , which earned her a playful punch on her shoulders. " Okay gal, just asking.." replies while she has just burst out laughing. Maybe there might me chance who knows
