Day 76
As the days wore on, Cam’s attitude floundered. Boredom was the worst problem. All she had in the room was a mattress on the floor, a rusty sink with cold water, and a stained toilet.
Once a week she was taken from her cell and allowed to stand under a water hose. She had soap and one small hand towel. There were no clean clothes to change into so her clothes remained the same, getting dirtier and dirtier. Sometimes she stood under the hose fully dressed but then had to spend the rest of the day in wet clothes, or naked while the clothing dried spread out on the floor of her cell.
Days, then weeks, went by: days that were hot and bright, nights that were cold and dark. They became engulfing. Still she was locked in this cell, given one meal and several pieces of fruit
