Maggie was pacing in the hospital waiting room when Lori arrived. “Lori!” Maggie greeted her, holding out her arms in a warm and tender greeting. “She’s really here?” Lori asked, still not wanting to relax into the belief. “Yes. She’s in surgery. Here, come sit down and talk. I’ll tell you all I know.” Maggie guided Lori to a bank of chairs. “Did the car service find you?” Maggie had thought to order a car and driver to meet Lori at the airport.
