Pauly was the first person out of his seat when the plane finally came to a stop. He waited impatiently for the corpsman to open the door and lower the steps, then he was down the stairs. Maggie was standing right there. He ran to her.
“I found her, Maggie. I finally found her,” he cried softly as he hugged her tightly. His tears wet her shoulder. “They’re bringing her down now. They keep telling me that she looks worse than she is, but I want her to sit up and talk to me. I want her to get up and run. Maggie, you should have seen her take that man down. I think she must have jumped ten feet in the air.”
