Chapter 36 The bandages had been taken off. The scar under and around her left eye was still bright red but was healing nicely, or so Alex said. The doctors explained that the hematoma behind her eye had created pressure that would be alleviated in time but would need more work. She had problems with her hand-eye coordination and some small form of aphasia, but she worked constantly at the exercises that the physical therapist had given her. The weekdays were filled but went slowly. The weekends, when Lori and David were there, sped by quickly. Cam was in a regular room now, out of intensive care, but Shirley still stopped by before or after her shift to see how Cam was doing. They’d become good friends.
