Janet got her B.S. degree in Psychology and graduated c*m laude. Shortly after graduation she attended a conference in New York where Dr. David Lawrence was one of the speakers.
Dr. Lawrence reported on his study’s findings. He couldn’t see Janet who sat in the back of the large meeting room. When the session ended Janet moved to the hallway to wait for David, and when he came out she yelled his name. He didn’t hear so she called out again, this time louder, “David.”
He turned around and his eyes grew round. “Janet, I didn’t expect to see you here.” His eyes traveled her body, “You look great, absolutely great. Can I buy you a drink?”
Her eyes were misty. She shook her head yes.
