Ideas: 

1) Fairy found as a baby and raised by an elder after her parents are executed

2) Elder trains fairy to regain magic lost when her parents died

3) Encounters deities to get her magic

Characters:

1) Thistle Briary (Loring)

2) Cyra the Elder

3) Lark and Lawson, Thistles best friends

4) Deities and a Menace

Timeline:

Somewhere between here and there. Could be Medieval times. Maybe even further back. A time before humans where supernatural ruled the world. Maybe. Unsure yet.

Scenes/Place:

8 Islands within traveling distance of each other. Each holds itʻs own secrets and magic. The island where Thistle lives is called Mooring Isle. An island of beauty.  Cliffs dropping to the deep blue ocean on one side and black sand beaches that glow with a blue hue at night. Villages dot the island but there are many areas deep in the forests that are still undiscovered, holding ancient secrets. 

The village of Finnley is an elder village made up of a mixture of retired fairyʻs with too much time on their hands. Thistle is raised there with the elder Cyra who found her. Thistle is led to believe that Cyra is her grandmother.
