I turned to Manny, my trusted second in command, asking, "Can I have the keys?" He quickly rummaged through his pocket, handling the very one. "Why confine her, Kael?" He asked, with concern written all over his face. "What's going on?"
I sighed. "I know her. She’s so stubborn and impulsive. Always jumping into danger without thinking. The Valtorans are looking for her, and it’s too dangerous to let her roam free."
Manny raised an eyebrow. "But she’s safe over here, in our chambers?"
I nodded in agreement, "Yes she is, but we have no idea what she'll do the moment she's conscious. She might try to escape or put herself in harm's way."
