What A Weird Dream

1043 Words
I woke up flustered, the dream felt so real that I could still hear the celebrities' laughter echoing in my room. I'm not gonna lie it's probably one of the weirdest yet exciting things I've ever dreamed of. Not because Augustus Flint tried to seduce me. Gross. Because I saw him making out with a famous actor, an actor! You probably know already that the golden boy of Green Heights was one of the reasons I was ostracized. And the most unforgettable thing he has ever done was sabotaging my chance with Micheal Wilson in senior high school when he deliberately ask me in front of the class if Micheal and I were already dating. Which thanks to him, didn't happen because Micheal already knew that I have a major crush on him. Imagine this, after Micheal officially unofficially ended our platonic relationship. Augustus had the nerve to smile at my face. That day I labeled Augustus Flint as homophobic for ruining my life. Turns out his dream counterpart is pretty l***q himself.  How I wish it wasn't that case.  "What's up with you?" Roland suddenly burst into my room looking pissed "I've been calling you for thirty minutes, been knocking on this door for another ten, and here you are all awake?" "I just woke up" I stand up "Why?" "Your mother asked me to call you for breakfast" He said before walking out.  I came down after I took a quick shower. Wearing the best clothes I could find in my drawer before greeting my mother in the kitchen. At the age of fifty-eight. Mirabell Gracia still looks young for her age. It must be the tea she likes drinking in the morning or the fact that she's half Asian like my father. "How's your sleep?" She asked. "Weirder than ever" I replied. "Have some" She offered me her cup of tea "It'll help you focus on your study" "No thanks, I prefer something sweet in the morning" "There's chocolate in the refrigerator if you want" I opened the refrigerator and took the half-empty carton of chocolate before pouring it into my glass. Breakfast was usual, mother was still the soft-spoken mother I know, Roland was still the irritable Roland I grew up with, and my Dad was still Dad. Already at work at seven in the morning. A normal day at the Gracia residence.   Twenty minutes later, I grab my bag and went to school. I had to take the bus to get there since it's a one hour and a half walk from my house. And once I got there Daniel was already standing in front of the entrance waiting for me. Since I texted him earlier.  "That was quick" "No traffic, lucky me" I replied to him.  "Jamie and Erika got here earlier. I saw them walking to their classroom" "How about you, no class yet?" "I still have ten minutes. But we should get going, I don't want to be late on my fourth day of college" "Damn... It's still the first week but It seems like we've been here for months because of the workload" I complained. "You tell me"  We walked side by side until we get into our respected buildings. Since it's basically facing each other in the far corner of the campus. A five-minute walk if you're fast enough. Lucky for us we're built different and we got there at four. We didn't get inside yet since we still have minutes to spare and both of our professors are not here yet. We sat in the middle, where the two buildings met. Minding our own business, staring at the students in front of us. Until a particular person caught our eyes. "So it's true... Augustus did come back" Daniel smack his lips for no particular reason.  "Is it me or did Montreal make him bulky" He added after he got no response from me. He did look better than the last time I saw him. He used to be scrawny even in senior high school and wore almost the same white t-shirt every day. Blue looks good on him, it matches the color of his eyes. Electric. "Gold!" The annoying and obnoxiously loud call of his best friend caught us by surprise.  "Hey" Even in this distance I could still hear him clearly. He has this news anchor type of tone that I knew too well. Loud but not annoying like his best friend. The only thing I find ok in him. "You look, good man, what happened to you"  "My uncle registered me to a gym" He said shyly.  "You also took Biology?" "Yeah—"  I didn't have the time to listen further. I saw my professor walking up the stairs heading to my classroom. I quickly say goodbye to Daniel and run towards the stairs. Some of my classmates who were also outside runs behind me. But thankfully, our professor wasn't strict or he would've already locked the doors once he step inside.      The problem with our professor Mr. Richard was he's boring. Boring AF. I don't want to undermine his credibility as a college professor but the way he talks makes it harder for us—especially for me to understand his subject. Which sucks. Totally, and before I know it. I fell asleep.  "You can't hide me forever" A ghastly whisper of a girl reach my ears. "Hello?" I called, but no one answer. I wake up here, all alone in a pink and white room with nothing by my side but teddy bears scattered all over the floor. Except for the voice of an unknown girl, I cannot see. Am I dreaming? "Oh, Mara I love you so much" Another voice appeared out of nowhere. Accompanied by a pair of brown eyes blinking in the upper corner of the room. "He—" But before I could form my words. A loud voice calling my name shook the room in half. Then I was falling into the darkness, accompanied by all the screams this weird dream could master.  "Mr. Gracia!"  "Yes sir, yes!" I jolted back to the real world. While the whole class laughs. "Then please explain to me the importance of agriculture in our country"
