Before the Tribrid

Part 2- Kent

"HELP! HELP!" I heard while I was out with the best warriors of my pack. We were scouting out the perimeter.

"Nathan, Damion, and Blaze come with me to see who was calling out for help," I commanded, in my Alpha command, the closest guys to me. Then we moved away from the east side of the perimeter. We were edging closer to the west side when I heard the female scream. "Over there!" I point over to where I see a female running close to the pack territory. She had finally caught up with us a few minutes later.

"Help me please! I am running away from my father." That's when I noticed who she was. She was Jane Lynn Jones. The Princess of all werewolves. But she also looked like someone I have been an ally too. Robyn Gloria na Blues, the Queen of vampires. She and Robyn could be relatives or twin sisters because of how identical they looked. "He's trying to force me into an arranged marriage and I can't have that especially since I have a mate out there waiting for me to find him," Jane said hurriedly.

"Mate!" A small voice from within me had called to me before I could say something out loud. "What did you just say, Adolph?" I asked my wolf. I was very confused on what was going on with him. "Mate! Mate!" Then I heard the woman say something else. She touched my arm. I felt tingles and shocks; that was when it  clicked.

"Wait... You are my mate! I can tell by the tingles that I felt when I touched your arm." She says connecting the dots that Adolph had connected for me, I just nodded; that was also when she pointed to me. I knew what she said was true.

"Yes, ma'am! That is correct! You are my mate! You are so beautiful and I feel so lucky to have you as my other half. My name is Kent Lee Smothers and I am the Alpha in the Genesis-Hurley Werewolf Pack. The men all around are my Gammas.  This is Nathan," I point to Nathan and he says 'Hello, Luna! How do you do?' "This is Damion, my Beta" I point to Damion and he waves to her. "This is Jacob," I point to Jacob and he smiles. "Then last, but certainly not least, this is Blaze, another one of the Gammas in my, well it is now our pack!" Blaze just nods his head once. "And what is your name, beautiful?" I ask for clarification.

"My name is Jane Lynn Jones. Nice to meet you all. I am the Princess of all werewolves. I am running away from my father, the King, so let's run together! Guards aren't too far behind me, so let's hurry! I want to be as far as I can get from my father and the palace." Jane answers.

"No, my darling mate, we must face your father together. Let him come to us. Or let's go see him."

"Ok," and then she was mute. Five minutes later, her father had finally come to get her and take her away.

"Don't worry, little mate, I will keep you safe at whatever cost!" I mindlink her.

"Sorry, Alpha Kent but I believe you have my daughter and I have come to get her. She has a duty to fulfill and I am just trying to help her out." Her father had explained. I knew that every word he had said about helping her was actually a lie. I knew it!  I then growled before choosing my next words to speak carefully.

"I am sorry for you thinking that she is going back with you. But I believe she won't be going back because she is my mate and my Luna. Plus you would have to go through me in order to go after her. There is no way she is going back with you! She's mine and she will be mine forever! I will fight until my death for her!" I exclaimed.

"I don't think you understand, but she is a part of a deal that I have made with another Alpha. She is not yours! She is his!" He tried to right his words. Then, Jane chose that moment to speak up for herself.

"Father, you are very stupid and ignorant if you think that I will go through with this sham of a marriage. I would rather die than get married to someone who is not my mate. You are doing this 'deal' for you and only you. You just want to use me as a pawn. A pawn for you to get some new power! I am done with having you as my joke of a father. You and Esmeralda never loved me, never cared about me, you guys just abused, tortured and neglected me. You guys made it known that I was not a part of the family. From this day forth, you are not my father, you are not parent,and you are nothing to me. I was never your daughter, I was your slave, prisoner, and pawn. I was nothing more, but I have had enough of you trying to control my life and being the asshole who left my mother because of my jackass grandfather, your father." Jane was very emotional when she was speaking those words. Now, it was my turn to speak.

"AND YES, SHE IS MINE AND SHE IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE BUT WITH ME, IF THAT IS WHAT SHE DESIRES!" I yelled at her father. Trying to get my point across.

"I would like to go with Kent and live a happy life with him. I will never be happy with Alpha Percy. I do not want to defy the Moon Goddess, Artemis!" Her words were like music to my ears! I was happy and Adolph was prancing around with joy!

"No, not okay! You will do as I say for I am still your King!" Her father was still holding onto the fact that he thought she was was going to come back with him, he grabbed a hold of her forearm. He wasn't taking no for an answer. He was going to try to force her to get married to Alpha Percy. But what he thought was wrong. I wasn't letting her go without a fight.

"Either you leave on your own or you leave by being forced to leave. It is your choice. You have approximately three seconds to make up your mind. So, if I were you, I would make up your mind like uh now!" I threatened her father. My patience was wearing thin because of her father. He seems to be someone who always gets his way. Like he never gets told 'no.'

That's about to change!
