Before the Tribrid

Part 3- Jane

"Either you leave on your own or you leave by being forced to leave. It is your choice. You have approximately three seconds to make up your mind. So, if I were you, I would make up your mind like uh now!" Kent said to my father. His voice was getting louder by the moment. I could tell he was getting angry. Hell, I could feel it. I just let him be. I was quiet and stood by his side.

Life was getting great, I thought. Great, just great. My father and my father were fighting over me. They were trying to decide who gets to keep me with them. I let them go on for a few minutes. But, after a few minutes, I was the one who spoke loud enough for BOTH of them to hear.

"ENOUGH!!" I yelled loud enough that my voice trumped both of theirs. They heard my voice and then they were silent. They knew I meant business and that I was serious. "Daddy, you are being totally unfair and uncalled for. Kent, you have no right to fight over me, unless I start the fight and can't finish the fight. Technically, my father had started this fight and I'm gonna finish it. Understand??? Plus, Kent, you have already won the fight for me. So, there is no need!" I said, trying to be reasonable with BOTH of them. Kent nodded in agreement with a smile on his face and my father just shook his head, thinking something, I don't know what exactly. Then I noticed the evil grin on his face that I've known my entire life. In my father's eyes, I was his biggest disappointment, while my younger half-brothers were his pride and joys. "What's your problem, father?? Are you not happy about me being the independent woman, I have become???"

"My problem is that you will be shacking up with some trashy ass werewolf Alpha that I know was a man w***e. I do not approve of your mating! I have raised you better than this. I will not let you go with him! You are not going with him. AND THAT'S FINAL!" my father argued and then he flashed his pearly white teeth.

"Really? Because if I recall, you didn't raise me. My nanny, Helga raised me as if I were her own! She only raised because 'too busy' with Esmeralda and the boys. You never paid attention to me. I was never part of the family, you made sure that was known. I was the outcast. You acted as though I was nonexistent. But newsflash, I have existed for the last twenty years on my own, with the help of Helga. You didn't help and neither did mother, but that's not her fault! Its yours! If you never gave her that stupid ultimatum when I was a baby, she could still be here! But no, you were an asshole to her and she ran, which in fact, I do not blame her! Helga was more of a parent than you will ever be! She was the mother and father that I never got! It's sad that you had her killed because you were jealous of her! So fine! If you are going to be like that, I have no choice. So be it! Kent, honey, can you please shift and kill my father; it would make me very happy if you do this! I would do it, but I do not have a wolf yet! Also, please take me back to the castle where I grew up. I need to gather up a few things. If anything stands in our ways, we will kill them too! So, any last words, father?" I pause. He says nothing. "Shift, please, Kent!" I say sweetly to my hunky, possessive, and protective Alpha mate. I really hit the mating jackpot by finding him.

So, Kent shifts into his wolf. He takes about two minutes to introduce himself as a wolf to me.

"MINE!"

"Hello, what's your name??" I say very tenderly and sweetly.

"My name is Adolph. And you are my beautiful mate. I love you so much, already!" Kent's wolf says to me. The last part stunting me. Then he places a kiss among my temple. "I understand this is all new to you, so you don't have to say it back. Just promise that you will try to love me."

"Awww! That's very sweet of you. And just know that I am beginning to love you as well, I think. I'm not sure, it might be here too soon for me to tell." I say before kissing the top of his head. "Now, go do as I say. I promise to love you no matter what when the time comes."

"Ok," is all he says before turning towards my father. I look and the devilish grin that was on my father's face is no longer there. I also see him gulp. He knew what he was wrong and now he gets to suffer the consequences. After about a minute of a staring contest, Adolph began to maul my father until there was nothing stuck together anymore. My father didn't even put up a fight, he knew it wasn't worth it. There were shreds of skin everywhere and blood all over. The clothes that Kent wore were drenched in blood. Even Kent's blond hair was soaked with blood. It took Adolph about ten minutes to be finished killing my father. Then it took another ten minutes to trek up towards the castle where I lived my whole life so far. With my father dead that leaves me as the top wolf since I am oldest. I still don't think Esmeralda and the boys know about my father's death.

But, I guess it doesn't matter since they're not going to be living much longer either. I want a clean slate and in order to do that, Esmeralda and the boys need to die and be gone. The boys will be killed because they never stood up to our father for me! They just stood back and watched as our father and their mother were cruel to me. Esmeralda will be killed because she never helped me out, never cared about me, and she never loved me. Hell, she never loved my father either. She had just used my father for s*x and money. When she wasn't getting s*x from my father, she slept with the royal guards. I only know that because one night, I was walking the halls to my room and I heard some noises come from a room. I looked to my right to find an open door. I peered into the room to see Esmeralda riding a guard and she was screaming out in a pleasurable state. Esmeralda never showed a lick of motherly love to me or even wanted to care about me. She always helped create a bigger mess for me. She always went with my father and went against me. I am alone and have been alone since the beginning of my life until now. My father and Esmeralda never said to me, "I love you." Or even never was there for me when I needed them. I always had to fight for myself and the will to survive and live the life I was meant to have. The only person who cared about me and loved me as her own was Helga. Until I met Kent.

Twenty minutes and fifty bodies later, I was in my childhood bedroom (really the only room I was allowed to be in) packing up some belongings of mine, when all of a sudden, I heard a knock on the door to the room. I thought it was Kent coming back from making sure the castle was clear and secure. Meaning all the staff within the castle grounds, Esmeralda and the boys were all dead. Officially making me an orphan as an adult.

"Come in!" I yell politely, not thinking anything of it.

"Janie, my beautiful daughter, what have you done?" A mysterious woman asked me once she was inside the room. I stopped what I was doing, so I can turn and face her. The woman looked a little like me. The woman had raven hair, green eyes, and sung kissed tanned skin just like me. Those common traits are what stood out to me most so far.

"How do you know that nickname of mine?? I am NOT your daughter! My mother hated me so much that she abandoned me and left me with my horrible father and his gold-digger of a wife. YOU ARE NOT MY MOTHER!!" I asked confusedly.

"Oh, my poor beautiful child, you are so very wrong. I have loved you since I found I was pregnant and I  still love you to this day. I had to abandon you, your father gave me no choice. I didn't want to leave you behind. He wanted to kill me or have me give you to him. I was his true mate. Trust me, I never wanted to leave you behind! But, I didn't want to die either. So, I had to leave you behind. But just so you know, I didn't leave you without a mother." The mysterious woman said vaguely as she claimed to be my mother.

"What do you mean 'you didn't want to leave me without a mother'? The only mother-like figure I had was... Helga. But she died two years ago. I have lived in this castle as my own personal HELL! Helga made it a little easier to handle. Father was surprised when she showed up here wanting to be my nanny! Helga was my second nanny. The first nanny didn't survive after five days on the job. The first nanny liked to steal from us. But my father gave Helga the job, feeling sorry for her because she would have to take care of me. He made it where I was hated by all the staff, every Alpha, and every pack around the area. He was a very sick man. Always thinking about himself and no one else. Not even his only daughter." I replied flabbergasted.

"I know about Helga. Helga was sent here to the castle because of me. She was sent here as my spy and as a mother after you, my baby! I trusted her and I still trust her! I am sorry for the life you had to endure. But, that's over now! I came here to tell you a few things." The mysterious woman continued.

"Things like what? Alright, you know what?? Never mind, you never even told me your name and you obviously know mine. So, tell me, your name or we aren't continuing this conversation!" I say as I was getting frustrated. Then the mysterious woman brought her right hand to my left cheek, leaving behind a stinging red hand print on my face. I began to walk away. She grabbed my arm before I could get away.

"I'm sorry that I slapped you and I haven't told you my name. But, that doesn't mean you talk to me, your mother, like that! My name is Queen Robyn. I am the Queen of the Vampires. I am a half-blooded vampire making you also a half-blood. Or as we call it, a 'Hybrid.' I will also tell you that Helga is not dead. She is outside helping your mate. She was a human, but not any longer. Your father had mauled within an inch of her life and threw her out to the streets, so she could die. A couple minutes later, I ended up finding her. I had smelled the blood. I was gonna drink her dry at first. But then, I rethought that though. She was still alive, fighting for the will to live, and so I slipped her some of my blood and venom mixed. After she drank that, I made sure she was ready before snapping her neck, so she could be reborn as a vampire. She will be here soon to get me out of here. Your vampire side is dormant (sleeping) until your die. But, until then, you are a werewolf. Your wolf has suppressed itself for the old being. But soon, she shall be awake and introduce herself to you. I see you have met your mate. I have already seen him. He was the one who called me here. He said that your father was dead and to ask you  what happened?" My mother, Robyn had told me.

I was completely in shock for a few moments in time. I was trying to make sense of all that she just told me.

"Yes, I had my father killed because he was being stubborn and disapproving of my mate and I. He kept saying Kent was a renowned man w***e which I don't think that is true. He was about to have me forced into an arranged marriage. He kept saying to break tradition. He wouldn't let me have what I wanted. Momma, I had to. It was the only way to have a happy life worth living with my mate!" I began sobbing.

"I know, honey. But, that was no reason to have him killed. He may have been a bad father, but he didn't deserve the same treatment that he did to you. You are better than that. Now, the Alpha of the Shamrock-Green Pack is coming and he wants to finish out the deal that he started with your father. But, as of now, I make you, the Queen of Vampires. I am stepping down since my King/mate was mauled to death. I had two reasons as to why I was Queen for so long. One reason was to hopefully rekindle the love and romance with your father. The other reason was that I was waiting to see you, so you could be the Queen, I know you are deep inside. I may have not have been there to save you from your father, but that doesn't mean I haven't watched over you from afar. I never intervened because your father wanted to kill me and get the powers I have as the Queen of the Vamps. Your father was meant to be the King of Werewolves and Vampires. That was what the Moon Goddess wanted when she  paired us as mates. Now, since he's gone and I am stepping down, you get the throne of both species. You were the only heir for me and your father together. You should let your mate know!! Now, give me a hug and I will see you back at your new home! Now, that we are reunited, we must never be separated again! We will not lose each other again! I am proud of who you are and who you are becoming! I love you forever and always!!" My mother says to me while I give her a hug. I started to feel the motherly love from my mother that I have been missing from all my life. I was happy to have her back in my life.

"Thank you, Momma! I promise you will not regret it!! I will continue to make you proud! I will make sure the Alpha is dealt with!! Kent will continue to make you proud as well! See you soon enough!!" I replied with a tighter squeeze in the hug. I was grateful to have my mother back. I had thought she hated me when she abandoned me but that wasn't the case.

"I am already very proud of you, but I wouldn't think of nothing better to do than get prouder by the second! I hope for you to have a life full of happiness and a life worth living. Don't forget to have a few babies for me to love and nurture as their grandmother!" My mother replied.

"In due time, I will have a couple of babies, Momma! Just not at this moment. I need to get to know my mate and we need to grow as a mated pair. But, in due time!"

A little while later, Kent was filled in about my talk with my mother and now we are securing the castle once again. More of Kent's pack came to help. My mother and Helga had already gone and left towards our (Kent and I's) pick territory. When Kent and I had a moment to ourselves, we thought all was good. Well, we were wrong!

The Alpha of the shamrock agreed pack, Alpha Percy was here and he was on the rampage.

"Where is SHE???" He said, getting more infuriated by the second. Kent was moved into Alpha Percy's viewpoint. I was following slowly in his shadow. Trying not to be seen.

"Whom do you mean? Whom do you seek?? Is it someone in particular??? Did you lose someone????" Kent asked, acting like he was clueless. Making me want to giggle.

"Stop playing dumb. I mean where is Jane? She was promised to me by her father. Speaking of which, where is he?? I need to finish the deal with him, grab her, and go back to my pack's territory. Jane is supposed to be my wife in a few days." Alpha Percy answered. I about barfed in my mouth when he said  I was supposed to be his wife in a few days (Alpha Percy is twenty years my senior). I don't want to be married to Alpha Percy. He's too old for me. Most importantly, he isn't my MATE! Kent is my mate! I would like to take a chance with Kent and see where our relationship goes.
